  • Beautiful Views!

"This is a beautiful, bright apartment with exceptional views. Everything was immaculate and well stocked. The mattress was very comfortable and we slept well. Gio was a great host and helped us with anything we needed. The location is central and perfect for all the activities in Capetown. Even when we weren't doing anything, we could just sit in the living room and look out at the ocean or go and take a walk on the promenade. The top of Table Mountain and Lion's Head will afford fantastic vistas. We drove to the Cape of Good Hope along Chapman's Peak - what a ride! Make sure to visit Kirstenboch Gardens. We enjoyed walking down to Rockwell Cafe and having their fantastic, thin crust pizza with a beer. There are food stores within walking distance so you can pick up some staples. I would highly recommend this apartment for any couples traveling to Cape Town."

  • Spacious villa in secure complex

"This is a spacious house/villa with four bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms. The complex has security staff at the complex entry and exit points controlling access based on property authorization and date of stay. The outside patio/plunge pool/barbecue area is especially relaxing. Internet and TV access were good. The property is well-situated on the R44 with access to Cape Town via the N1 or N2, and is directly opposite the medium-sized, but fully featured, Stellenbosch Square shopping center. Close to Paarl and many nearby wine farms. Leonard services the apartment daily and provides very professional help with queries. The owner responds quickly to texts or communications. Some issues which inconvenienced our stay: the washing machine was broken for the duration of our stay - laundry was processed off-site once (R400); it detracted from our visit to not have access to a washing machine/dryer to use as needed (we were traveling), especially in a villa this well-appointed. A kitchen sink also clogged and was out of service for most of the stay. The property is modern however, so perhaps these were unlucky events."

  • Excellent property in great location

"A great stay from start to finish. Vicky our host was reliable and attentive to all our needs. The property is in a great location away from the hustle and bustle of Camps Bay but close enough to enjoy all its delights. We would walk down to the beach and get a taxi back as we have a three year old and its up hill home. We used Uber and taxis cost less than £1.50 doing this. The house is lovely , very cleaned and well equipped. The beds have nice linen and mattresses very comfy. The roof terrace can be quite magical sitting watching the sunset or early morning. The property is serviced twice a week whihc is a bonus. All the restaurants are great for different reasons and as the rand was so good we did not eat in at all. There is masses to do locally. We spent New Years Day having lunch at Dunes Cafe at Hout Bay and walking up to the harbour to see the resident seals. A great holiday and fab host. We would definately book this place again."

  • Our stay at Mermaid Cottage

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mermaid Cottage. Everything was just right and the only complaint was the constantly strong southerlies which were a bit of a surprise! We had lovely walks around Simon's Town and visits to explore the Cape Point national park. We would very happily book again. Also to mention we found the letting agency to be most helpful with everything."
