  • Beautiful place near Taipei 101

"We had a very comfortable stay here in July 2016. If you like a quiet location and want a beautiful apartment with good proximity to metro and bus, this is a great rental. The apartment is sleekly furnished, in a nice building with decent amenities including a gym and pool in the basement. Transport options are good. It's only a 5-minute walk to the Xiangshan metro station, and across the street from a number of bus lines. You can walk straight to Taipei 101 in about 15 minutes for shopping and dining. The neighborhood is quiet, at the eastern end of the city near the mountains, with many posh apartment buildings and fewer street stalls and less nightlife than more central areas. There is a great little convenience store just behind the building, and a full supermarket about 10 min. walk away. Note that the apartment has 2 bedrooms and 1-1/2 bathrooms, which is very handy, but both the 2nd bedroom and the 1/2 bath are very small. The galley kitchen is small and lightly equipped but very functional. Also, note that the gym and pool have quite restricted hours so I was rarely able to use them. They're closed all day Monday, open only late afternoon to evenings Tuesday-Friday, and open from late morning on weekends. The front desk staff speak limited English, so it helps to have some Chinese. The apartment owner was available to answer questions when needed."

  • A weekend to remember

"I really loved the place, the staff and the ambiance. It was a weekend to remember. The place was perfectly situated and just perfect for all of us. I'm glad I didn't pick the wrong place for our vacation this time. All of us was happy and contented and couldn't ask for more. Thanks Roi!"

  • A sense of place

"My husband and I enjoyed 3 nights in the guest suite of our friendly charming host. This is a comfortable 2 story apartment adjacent to the the owner's home. The space is open with Modernist flair, the bedroom is upstairs in a lofted space. The neighborhood is safe and walkable with accessible restaurants within a 10 min walk. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the garden and the good recommendations of our host. If you require a hotel's amenities, this may not suit. If you wish to experience Jerusalem with a more local sensibility, this is your opportunity. I am sure we will visit again!"

  • Friendly owner, well-appointed, well-looked-after.

"It's not 5-star hotel, and doesn't pretend to be. It is: friendly, well-appointed, clean, comfortable, and handy to many of the things to see in Kyoto. It's cute, embedded in the local community, close to shops, transport. We loved it, and made it a base for our week in Kyoto. Hiroko is a kind and attentive host. The no.5 bus and the tram gets to all of East Kyoto, with easy transfer to trains that cover the rest. Stairs inside are a bit steep if you have mobility issues, but our family loved it. Have already recommended it to several Japan-bound friends."
