  • Stunning view and staff

"This incredible villa is a very private oasis set in the hills overlooking Candidasa. The property is surrounded by a lush and beautiful garden that is walled off with a locking front gate. Two very large bedrooms, each with its own bath, are on the upper level, both with balconies, also with the incredible view. The kitchen, downstairs bath, and large living area with TV and stereo are also surrounded by windows to also enjoy the view. The infinity pool is private and refreshing-there is deck area for sitting in the sun, complete with overhead umbrellas to block the sun. Two staff members, Leonard and Ketut, arrive every day to clean up and arrange whatever you may need, from going into town, to eating out, to excursions or a ride to the airport. It's like being in your own private resort. We stayed during a particularly bad monsoon season, with driving winds and rain every day, and still had a fantastic time. We would love to visit again."

  • What an amazing place and wonderful team we've left part of our hearts in Bali.....

"We booked all 3 villas so we could share this beautiful place with friends. The villas are all beautiful! The grounds truly stunning lying by the pool was just Bliss! The Reef fascinating lots of fish to see for those who snorkel. The team of staff so wonderful Ayu and team so lovely, friendly and helpful the kids talk of them still! This is definitely a non touristy part of Bali which is stunning much to see and do if your prepared to travel away from the Villa a little. The group enjoyed visits to Coffee plantations, rice fields, water temples, Volcano cycle ride and a Boat trip over to the Gili Islands all thoroughly recommended. This place was incredibly special and I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone thinking of staying were just looking for an excuse to return tho from the UK it's a Long Trip. We will be back tho Thankyou so much for sharing with us your wonderful Home. The Jackson, Cornwell & Boardman Families. UK"

  • Everything pictured and MORE!

"I was afraid the villa would not be as nice as the pictures. It is much nicer. The villa looks exactly as pictured but there are many things that can't be conveyed – like the warmth, hospitality, and reliability of the staff. (Plus the grounds are extremely clean, well maintained, and safe.) We were warmly greeted at the airport by the manager of the property. His English is perfect and he was able to convey all of the important information to navigate a very different culture without embarrassment or insult to the wonderful local people. At the villa you are given a mobile phone with 3 pre-programmed numbers; the manager, the driver, and room service - so communication is not something you have to worry about. The driver is a very pleasant, kind man. For a set price he will drive you anywhere you want to go with patience, kindness, and always a smile. His English is wonderful and he will give you useful tips and tricks to help navigate Bali tourism. He will also help arrange your schedule in a way that makes sense logistically if you let him know in advance the things you are interested in doing. The kitchen is situated in the basement of the villa. I believe food is available 24/7. The food is always extremely fresh and nicely prepared. I would call it Bali comfort food. We always ate on our deck and the food was delivered to us with warm smiles. Although the kitchen is below the living space, we rarely heard any noise from the kitchen. As for the location, the beach is a black sand beach. There is a river that runs past the villa and empties into the beach. It is extremely scenic - though there can be a lot of surf at the beach and I never felt comfortable swimming here. The beach is very popular with the local people and it's fun to watch local life on Bali from multiple viewing points from within the resort. (Though when venturing out into the little next-door village and meandering along the beach I ALWAYS felt perfectly safe. It's just so lovely on the property I, more often than not, preferred to watch from within.) To get anywhere of note you will need to go by car but I can promise that you will always be happy to return to the peaceful beauty of the villa grounds after a day enjoying bustling Bali. It is so peaceful and beautiful here. At Villa L'Orange you will feel pampered, safe, and EXTREMELY comfortable. I can't recommend Villa L'Orange enough!!"
