"A fantastic stay in an incredible villa. The place is beautiful with lovely, relaxing garden and pool and is really well kept. It's not possible to get there by car so we had to transfer through the alleys by bike but Wayan and his family were so friendly from the outset that this was only a minor inconvenience. The hosts went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble. Wayan even lent us a phone so we could contact him if there were any problems. Breakfast was delicious and we especially enjoyed the mangosteen as it was the first time we'd tried it! It was only a short distance into Ubud on the bike that was arranged for us and there was even a food delivery service and laundry so we really couldn't have asked for more. Our best stay in Bali by far! See you next time Wayan!"

  • Honeymoon Heaven!

"I spent the second week of my honeymoon here and it was amazing! The view from the living room looking out to the outdoor pool which then overlooks the rice fields was breathtaking. Thanks to Max we did so much as he was so helpful arranging our excursions. We went to monkey forest, did an eco bike tour which was so kool, elephant safari, white water rafting(amazing!) and most of all we went canyoneering which we jumped from waterfalls and got to bath in a hot water spring. Oh my! I'm smiling just thinking back on it. Oh yes we went to a cooking class which is also a must, we had so much fun. My husband and I were spoiled and had in house massages from Koko which were so relaxing as well as listening to the therapeutic music playing. Regular cleaning and woke up to breakfast being delivered. This Villa is close to shops if taking a car or the scooter. We went to a Thai restaurant nearby that was fantastic. You can even order food to be delivered from various retaurants which we did, so good. The villa is perfect for a romantic break, family and even if you want a quiet spot to just chill. So much value than a hotel I'm telling you, we had so much access and were spoiled rotten for an amazing price! Thank you so much Max we definitely want to come back. You were a great help to us and made our honeymoon super! Xxxxx"

  • Heaven on Toast!

"Our one biggest regret of our 2-week holiday in Bali is that we did not stay at Villa Madu first. Had we known what it would be like, we would have cancelled all other accommodations and just stayed there. We stayed only 4 nights; we could have stayed the entire 2 weeks and still would not have had our fill. Beyond all the marvellous sightseeing and shopping, the very best part was just staying in the villa, eating the wonderful meals prepared there or ordered in, getting massages and pedicures by the pool, playing cards or board games (there is a large selection) or a game of ping pong, or music on the drums and guitars provided; or watching a movie on the laptop beamed through the projector on to the 2 meter screen. Just being together with our extended family gathered together from far-flung countries - This was seriously paradise. The 12 of us knew, from the moment we set foot in the Villa, that this was coming home. They took such good care of us - Nurdi, Dewa, Jero, Wayan and all of the staff. Breakfast was so amazing we could barely believe that dinner was even better. They helped us organize transportation, motorbike rentals, in-house massages or spa visits, meals, laundry, and even made special meals for one of us who was under the weather. Even Alfie, the friendly little white dog, came by each evening to say hello to each of us in turn, one by one. The property is secluded, being set back from the road. You can actually feel the air temperature drop several degrees when you step through the massive teak wood gates. Each room in the villa has it's own charms and none of them are the same. They have been thoughtfully furnished and decorated, so there is a feeling of warmth and intimacy being surrounded with beautiful original paintings, stone carvings, and a collection of pieces from the owner's world travels. The location couldn't be better - just a few minutes walk to the main road and all that central Ubud has to offer. What wonderful memories we were able to take away with us. We can't wait to return to make more."
