  • Great Location

"This was my first trip to Israel. I took two daughters ( age 17 and 23). Since we only had a week (6 nights) I didn't bother getting a car. We took a shared taxi from Ben Gurion Airport and back at the end of the week. Everything we saw was on foot, except for taking the light rail to Yad Vashem. It was wonderful!!!! The location was great. We walked to the old city (about 2 blocks) and all over it. We walked to Gethsemane and to the top of the Mt. of Olives, into the valley of Ben Hinnon and places where we didn't know where we were. The apartment was a great base for the visit. The owner owns 4 in the building. Mine was not pictured, but she sent pictures before we left and it was more than acceptable. We were quite comfortable with the AC and the shower to cool us off after our adventures. We were there at the end of July so the weather was rather warm, but not humid (like we're used to in Illinois). I enjoyed the weather. We carried water everywhere we went and had no problems. Our apartment had a bedroom with 2 twin beds and a couch in the living room for the third person. Plenty of closet space and drawers. The internet worked fine. Didn't use TV. The kitchen had what we needed in dishes and pots and pans and dish soap, etc. We did not use the Kosher set, but they are there for those who choose. The security of the building looks a little strange, but was fine- I felt safe the whole time there. There is also a shopping district nearby. We were looking for a veil for my daughter who was getting married in August and found the perfect material at a yardage shop nearby. $45.00 for the most beautiful veil ever. I look forward to my next trip to Jerusalem and would definitely check this place first. The owner was easy to work with, too. I recommend this place."

  • Gem of an apartment

"Over the years my wife and I have stayed in many apartments in Jerusalem-- in Rehavia, Baka, and the German Colony-- and in many ways, this apartment was the most comfortable and easiest to stay in. Not the fanciest, but the most comfortable. The location of the apartment could not be better. The apartment is large, very well appointed, and-- what makes all the difference-- Tzvi and Gladys, the owner and manager, supply guests not only with the basics but the small things that make staying in the apartment so easy-- shampoo in the bathrooms, loads of toilet paper, coffee, sugar, the Israeli equivalent of Sweet and Low, a havdalah candle and besomim box, even a small bottle of grape juice. Tzvi and Gladys are extremely responsive-- we had problems with the TV set, and they had the box replaced within two days. As previous guests have stated, my only hesitation in writing this review is the fear that it will make booking the place more difficult in the future. Very strongly recommended."

  • Quiet, Comfortable and Convenient

"Yifat was wonderful as our hostess from the first contact and throughout our stay. We never met her, but she was available through email and helped our visit to Jerusalem go smoothly. The stand alone 'cottage' was clean and comfortable, furnished with necessities to begin our stay. You could sleep 4 with the couch in the living area, but I would not suggest putting 4 adults there, it would be quite crowded. The lovely little garden was a plus. The many steps leading to the cottage were not a problem for us to take our luggage down, but if you have mobility problems that could be a challenge, but it is a plus because it is away from any traffic, so very quiet. It was convenient to restaurants, bus stops and a doable walking distance to the 'Old City and many other attractions. We found it gets a damp feeling inside if the windows are shut, which we needed to do in the evenings, but turning on the heaters helped with that. Parking is not free on the street, but there are free lots within walking distance to leave your car safely, Yifat will help you find them. Jerusalem and the surrounding areas are wonderful to visit and this is a comfortable place to come back to. We would certainly stay here again."

  • Appartement bien situé et confortable / Apartment well located and very comfortable

"L'appartement est conforme à la description, il est bien situé à proximité des principaux lieux touristiques (vieille ville, mahane yehouda, rues piétonnières, ....). L'accueil a été parfait, tout fonctionnait. Je recommande cette location, et je pense revenir dans cet endroit une prochaine fois."
