  • My 3rd stay and planning my 4th, 5th....

"Doesn't get better than Ron & Shoshi's heavenly penthouse. My Israel trips are now planned around the availability of this rental! This apartment is a great choice for all travelers staying in Tel Aviv whether you're a first time tourist or you visit all the time. The location is excellent with the supersol supermarket across the street. There's numerous restaurants within a 2 minute walk and plenty that will deliver to your door. The beach is 5 minute walk and taxis/buses are all available upon leaving the building. But I promise that you'll never want to leave the peace and quite of the enormous wraparound balcony/private pool. I love the Nespresso coffee machine along with the milk frother. You'll make a better coffee in your private kitchen than any of the cafe's nearby. I can't stress enough what a luxury the water machine is. Hot and cold drinking water in seconds. The Wifi and my US mobile reception is stronger in the apt than my home or office in New York. The black out curtains will have you sleeping better than any hotel nearby! You'll also never get a better sunset view than from the balcony. But as always it is the care of your hosts Ron and Shoshi that keep repeat travelers like myself staying again and again!"

"Hello everyone, This was actually my second time staying at the Arashiyama Hanare house in Kyoto, Japan. I previously stayed here in 2010 with my family. It's a great place! I recommended it to my brother this September when he was touring Japan. The Hanare house is located on a quiet, lovely street tucked away in a charming Japanese neighborhood close to the station. Not only do you have plenty of personal space, they provide you with a lot of cooking ware and so it's easy to cook a good meal on days you feel like saving some cash. Of course there is also that distinct smell of bamboo and soil. Tatami mats have a relaxing odor and create a stunning atmosphere. I highly recommend staying here if you are passionate about Kyoto and Japan. Even the streets surrounding it are full of old book sellers, farmers, and craftsmen, etc. You are right by the bamboo forest and Monkey Park is within a walks reach. It's a must for me!"

  • Reno Mom

"This place will transform you. This property and gardens are perfectly maintained and presented with attention to detail. The staff will spoil you daily with fresh fruit, beautiful floral arrangements, meals and daily cleaning. The staff speaks English and can arrange guided tours, massages, rides to the market, or a drive to the north side of the island. We enjoyed morning walks through the lush vegetation right off the trail behind the house. You won't want to leave. The owners were easy to work with and quick to answer any questions we had. We will be back for sure."

  • Old Japan Feeling in Wonderful Neighbourhood with Great Hosts

"This is a very special place to stay in Kyoto. As soon as we stepped inside, we felt, in many ways, like we'd stepped into Old Japan, and yet all the conveniences for comfortable living were there. The feeling of the machiya is lovely, deep, quiet, even romantic, with a sense of beauty to it we loved. The hosts could not be more easily accessed, friendly or helpful. The neighbourhood is perfectly situated so that you can get to other parts of Kyoto easily by subway (just down the street,) but it is also wonderfully close to many temples, gardens, the Philosphers' Walk, etc. There are good restaurants nearby, too. No question about it -- if you are fortunate enough to stay here, you will love it."
