  • Beautiful place near Taipei 101

"We had a very comfortable stay here in July 2016. If you like a quiet location and want a beautiful apartment with good proximity to metro and bus, this is a great rental. The apartment is sleekly furnished, in a nice building with decent amenities including a gym and pool in the basement. Transport options are good. It's only a 5-minute walk to the Xiangshan metro station, and across the street from a number of bus lines. You can walk straight to Taipei 101 in about 15 minutes for shopping and dining. The neighborhood is quiet, at the eastern end of the city near the mountains, with many posh apartment buildings and fewer street stalls and less nightlife than more central areas. There is a great little convenience store just behind the building, and a full supermarket about 10 min. walk away. Note that the apartment has 2 bedrooms and 1-1/2 bathrooms, which is very handy, but both the 2nd bedroom and the 1/2 bath are very small. The galley kitchen is small and lightly equipped but very functional. Also, note that the gym and pool have quite restricted hours so I was rarely able to use them. They're closed all day Monday, open only late afternoon to evenings Tuesday-Friday, and open from late morning on weekends. The front desk staff speak limited English, so it helps to have some Chinese. The apartment owner was available to answer questions when needed."

  • Great Apt. in great location

"My family am I stayed here for 4 nights. The place was very clean and perfect for a family of 4. The place was as described in listing. We had maybe a 15 minute walk to city center of Jerusalem from the apt. If too hot, a cab was always nearby to take us in. Great location with many restaurant options. Would stay again if back in Jerusalem."

  • Old Japan Feeling in Wonderful Neighbourhood with Great Hosts

"This is a very special place to stay in Kyoto. As soon as we stepped inside, we felt, in many ways, like we'd stepped into Old Japan, and yet all the conveniences for comfortable living were there. The feeling of the machiya is lovely, deep, quiet, even romantic, with a sense of beauty to it we loved. The hosts could not be more easily accessed, friendly or helpful. The neighbourhood is perfectly situated so that you can get to other parts of Kyoto easily by subway (just down the street,) but it is also wonderfully close to many temples, gardens, the Philosphers' Walk, etc. There are good restaurants nearby, too. No question about it -- if you are fortunate enough to stay here, you will love it."

  • Location Location Location

"Yes the Location is ideal for visiting Kyoto being close to trains and buses, shops, cafes and Temples/gardens. The house is very comfortable with a superb bathroom. It is well designed with ample room. Great wi fi connection that was important to us. Saki and Junko were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend the Ocafe next door, both the rissoto and curry are delicious and the owner Hisashi is very friendly. Treat yourself and book yourself into this fabulous Gion House."
