Cortez cabin rentals

Came to visit family with our dogs in tow. Loved having a place close to them that allowed pets. Also loved waking up and taking them on a walk down the road and letting them run off leash, since the road has no other houses on it past the site.

The Cliff House is everything it advertises it is and much more! If you want to get back to nature both literally and figuratively then the Cliff House is what you need. This place will give you both the sense of nature and yearning for the wild. The Cliff House was built for you to get away from day to day life, but still offers the capability for you to connect if you need to. The Cliff House is also not too far away from local attractions like Mesa Verde and Four Corners, and modern conveniences like Walmart and common fast food restaurants. Pros: Great get away for couples, close to tourist sites and restaurants, close to stores in town, has hiking trails on property, really easy to get to, owners are quick to communicate, great view, and so much more! Would 100% stay here again and again. Cons: Sleeping situation is not for everyone. Loft bed with ship style ladder and a sleeper couch are available as well as room for a blowup mattress or cot below loft area. The loft area may not be ideal if you consider yourself not able to climb a ladder or have to go to the bathroom frequently at night.

My wife and I stayed here in June of 2024 with our two children and two dogs while we visited Mesa Verde National Park. It was only 15 minutes to the park entrance so it is a perfect home-base if you're visiting the area. The property was PERFECT for our family and such a cute tiny home. With the two adults, two kids and two full sized dogs we thought space might be an issues, but there was plenty of room for us to spread out. The kids loved the ladder to climb to the loft bed as well!

The cabin was perfect for my spouse, 17 yo daughter and dog. I loved reading next to the river and having space for my dog to play. The garage door wall of the kitchen opened up the space more and was great having all the fresh air. Kitchen was just right, the bedrooms and beds comfy too! We came up for a wedding and to detress without the fuss and this was a perfect spot. Town was a couple minutes away. Thank you for sharing your space with us!

We had a lively stay. The place had all the amenities! Well appointed kitchen, hot tub perfect temperature and the beds were great! Definately worth the price!

Wonderful cabin, excellent communication with host & accurate description of property. I'd strongly recommend future guests to bring fans, cabin does not cool well or have proper air flow without access to back door. Keeping all windows/door open helps but not sufficient during current heat wave. We look forward to our next visit & strongly recommend.

So many VRBO listings go to great lengths to photograph the property to maximize its appeal-rather like those shots of RV’s or boats which make the accommodation look so much more spacious and appealing. This often leads to disappointment. Not so, this property. Airy, spacious, studio-type modern cabin set in acres of Ponderosa forest. Quiet, serene. Comfortable Tempurpedic style bed. Good washer/dryer. Good kitchen, gas range. Ample counter space. Caveats: needs steak knives, a cooking knife set, a colander, a salad spinner (these may not be an issue unless like us, you like to cook your own meals). Could use better bedside lamp. Needs more lamps. We’d like to return and stay longer. Ideal location to access Mesa Verde and Canyon of the Ancients national park/monuments, and so much more.
