Current River cabin rentals

We had the most amazing weekend staying in this cabin that sits on top of a hill with a breathtaking view. The cabin was decorated so cute and had everything we needed for our weekend stay. We enjoyed watching the sun rise in the morning with a cup of coffee and hearing the frogs chirp as we made smores in the campfire in the evening. The hosts did an excellent job and paid special attention to the small details. It is close enough to the quaint town of Eminence and all it has to offer but not too close. I enjoyed the gravel road leading the cabin as it took me back to the days of driving to my grandpa's farm. I highly recommend staying here for the weekend or for the week...recharge in nature, stare at the stars, sleep in or rise early. Can't wait to go back!! Everyone had a great time!

Most people think of Van Buren and floating the Current River, but our group just wanted to find a spot to park ourselves in our chairs in the river and just enjoy the flow of the river. We found just that spot not very far from the cabin and we could float to it. The cabin is in a nice, quiet area and is only 8 to 10 miles from Doniphan in case you need to get anything. It was very easy to find the cabin via GPS. Our whole group enjoyed the spacious great room, sleeping arrangements, porch and deck over the river. Wonderful weekend with family without tourists hassles Loved it.

When we arrived at the property, our jaws just dropped. We couldn’t believe how serene and secluded it was, which was just what we were looking for. We loved listening to the birds singing in the morning, while drinking coffee on the ample deck. Best of all may have been ending our canoe trip on the Current River by walking back up to the house! Amazing views and wonderful large decks to take it all in! Cute little Swiss chalet style A-Frame home that has three levels and plenty of room and privacy. Very clean and looked to be fairly recently renovated. The property was in a good location and was very serene and quiet. Thank you for a great stay!!

Our overall immediate impression was how clean and well organized everything was in such a tiny spot. We stayed at the Bunk House. It had a large back deck. When sitting there we could see the horses and spent much time just watching them graze. So quiet and serene! It is definitely for people who want to escape to the country life! You are not totally out in the woods, though, because Eminence is not too far away. We will definitely be back! We will probably try one of the other cabins as we had just a little bit of trouble because, as seniors, we had a little trouble getting in and out of the bunk bed. All in all, it is a wonderful place and we have nothing but appreciation for Lisa and Scott and their hospitality! Thank you so much, we’ll be back!
