This property checked every box we were hoping for during our Memorial Day weekend getaway! It struck the perfect balance of whimsical charm, cozy comfort, and a touch of luxury. After a long day of hiking, coming back to the outdoor space—with its fireplace and hot tub—was the ultimate way to relax.Inside, the home is thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need (or may have forgotten), making it feel like a true home away from home. The decor is unique, inviting, and full of personality. We brought our dog along, and were pleasantly surprised to find pup-friendly touches like dog beds, towels, and waste bags ready for use.The location is ideal—just minutes from wineries, great hikes, and quaint, delicious restaurants. Plus, there are so many amenities on the property we didn’t even have time to enjoy fully: pickleball and tennis courts, a peaceful river with kayaks and paddleboards… it really is an all-in-one retreat.We’re already planning our next stay—this place is a gem!

We came here to get away of the daily urban life. We found exactly what we needed, a place so peaceful that you can hear only your own thoughts! Is very easy to find, yet so well hidden from the world. Thank you Michael for being so accommodating and welcoming.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage, celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary. The wood walls and ceilings are beautiful and the back porch was very peaceful. It was very clear and had everything you need to be comfortable. The homemade soap was a nice touch. It was close to Blowing Rock, yet private. Will visit again! We stayed here for a long weekend to attend the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. It was an excellent location for this. The house is very well appointed, clean, and welcoming. The game room is phenomenal and adorable. Things to know: the King room downstairs is not private. You have to go through the room to get to the twin room and to the queen room. We didn't care, it worked fine for our family, but I can imagine scenarios where that would be unwelcome. Also be aware the steps to get up to the loft bedroom and the stairs to get to the basement bedrooms are narrow and steep. Again, it didn't affect us too much but it should be made aware. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great central location and great newly redone house.

This was our 6th time staying at this wonderful cabin. We have been bringing our grandkids now with us for the past 3 visits. They love their room upstairs, and discovered a new hide out created in one of the bedrooms with a ladder that goes up to the space. I love the the absolute tranquility found here. The creek that runs behind the property sounds so soothing. The first thing I do when I get there is open the kitchen windows to hear it! The master bed is very comfortable to sleep in and the kitchen is well stocked to cook your meals there. We love the dining table and sitting area outside on the back porch! Every trip we always go over to Grandfather Mtn. to walk across the suspension bridge. It's a tradition we have created. I probably shouldn't go on anymore, because once you go, you want to go back.That will make it harder for us to get a reservation lol. It's a great place to stay.

Such a nice cozy place to stay. Very clean and extremely well maintained. Peaceful and relaxing trip. Hot tub was a very nice plus to this stay. Easy to get to restaurants too. Hosts were very kind and overall experience was great. Highly recommend this one!
