This property checked every box we were hoping for during our Memorial Day weekend getaway! It struck the perfect balance of whimsical charm, cozy comfort, and a touch of luxury. After a long day of hiking, coming back to the outdoor space—with its fireplace and hot tub—was the ultimate way to relax.Inside, the home is thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need (or may have forgotten), making it feel like a true home away from home. The decor is unique, inviting, and full of personality. We brought our dog along, and were pleasantly surprised to find pup-friendly touches like dog beds, towels, and waste bags ready for use.The location is ideal—just minutes from wineries, great hikes, and quaint, delicious restaurants. Plus, there are so many amenities on the property we didn’t even have time to enjoy fully: pickleball and tennis courts, a peaceful river with kayaks and paddleboards… it really is an all-in-one retreat.We’re already planning our next stay—this place is a gem!

We came here to get away of the daily urban life. We found exactly what we needed, a place so peaceful that you can hear only your own thoughts! Is very easy to find, yet so well hidden from the world. Thank you Michael for being so accommodating and welcoming.

The home was cozy and comfortable and in a great location. My kids were disappointed to find that the pictured sleeping loft was off limits to guests but other than that, the sleeping arrangements were comfortable. I appreciated how clean the house was. Location was also nice and quiet!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage, celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary. The wood walls and ceilings are beautiful and the back porch was very peaceful. It was very clear and had everything you need to be comfortable. The homemade soap was a nice touch. It was close to Blowing Rock, yet private. Will visit again! Such a nice cozy place to stay. Very clean and extremely well maintained. Peaceful and relaxing trip. Hot tub was a very nice plus to this stay. Easy to get to restaurants too. Hosts were very kind and overall experience was great. Highly recommend this one!

Excellent on all fronts!

we spent eight nights in the cabin for a cozy retreat. The crackling fireplace, rustic charm, and snow-dusted surroundings create a magical experience. Well-equipped amenities, was the perfect getaway for a tranquil and picturesque winter escape. Thanks, again for a wonderful time!

Had a great stay at Skylark. Property was clean and had all that we needed. Would be helpful to have a few more towels though. The pics online showed twin beds and a full bed in the loft area but what was there was a day bed with a trundle which was fine for what we needed. Everytihng was in working order and we would definately stay here again!
