Wonderful solitude! If you're looking for a quiet sabbatical, this is the place!

To say that our stay in this gorgeous house was perfect would be an understatement. It’s difficult to envision a cabin that could be more perfectly suited to its surroundings. The house itself was lovely - from the architecture of the building itself, to the beautifully handmade furniture, to the hand crafted floor and table lamps, down to the coffee mugs - everything was thoughtfully presented and very comfortable. And the view defies description. This property was perfectly situated by itself, giving the utmost privacy in the middle of a beautiful forest, yet it was only ten minutes into town, with all that Asheville has to offer. And as much as we enjoyed the city and surrounding areas, it was always a highlight to come back to the house and that porch! We cannot recommend this house highly enough.

We were looking for a small cabin to spend the Christmas holiday and this one really fit the bill. Very clean and quiet and beautiful scenery even in late December. The hosts are wonderful and everything is very easy. Highly recommend.

We used to live in Weaverville and returned to visit favorite places and see old friends. We love the location of the cabin. Plenty of peace and quiet but convenient to places around Asheville. Larry was a friendly and responsive host. We have a family member who is a fall risk. Larry put in some safety features for her visit. We would book the cottage again. Enjoyed our stay!

We loved Almost Heaven! The cabin is immaculate, well-stocked, well-organized and so charming. The setting is stunning -- we especially loved the hiking trail that leads right from the parking pad. Highly recommended! One thing I'd note for future guests: there are three bedroom spaces, but only one of these has a door. The loft space has a nice screen to create more privacy, but it is open to the living room below and anything happening in either space can be easily heard in the other. The large primary bedroom takes up most of the downstairs level; the stairs down to this level drop you right into the primary bedroom. There is a door to the small bedroom, which shares a "jack and jill" bathroom with the primary bedroom, but there's no door between the stairs and the primary. Everything is beautiful and worked fine for us, but don't expect much privacy between the spaces.

Cabin was clean and as advertised. Good location with easy access to surrounding areas.

We are so thankful for our time at Porch Break. This cozy cabin could not have been more beautiful or comfortable. We stayed four days and it was the highlight of our trip. The cabin and location were breathtaking, private, quiet, and close to all the places we wanted to explore. The kind and thoughtful property owners provided the perfect stay, privacy and a very helpful booklet about the cabin and area restaurants, hikes, and attractions. It was hard to leave!
