Private peaceful setting close to beaches, eateries. Charming decor. Super well stocked kitchen and bathrooms with toiletries, condiments, snacks, drinks and more. Host Kim delightful to deal with, eager to assist all thru stay. Definitely a sweet spot, definitely will be back.

We stayed before for a week and came back because it was so excellent. It was excellent again. Location, accommodations, cleanliness, amenities were ALL excellent. Our hosts were perfect.

Jim and his wife really thought of everything! If you’re looking to experience off grid living, this is your cabin! It was homey, spacious, quiet, and relaxing. The goats were well behaved and very loving. We were able to walk on some trails, fish in the pond, hang out in the cabin, and explore the town. There is food and shopping close by for groceries OR pick your eggs right out of the chicken coop! The cabin had everything you would need for a stay away from home: coffee, tea, sugar, cream, toiletries, wet wipes, lots of water, firewood, cards, games. No internet, TVs, or electricity to get in the way of a great experience! We didn’t miss any of it. There is a separate shower, separate double privy (composting toilet) which also serves as a very spacious changing room. The bed was so very comfortable and we stayed warm under all the handmade quilts. There is room for eating inside or outside, a potbelly cook stove, and a 2 burner Coleman if you aren’t keen on cooking with wood. Overall our stay was a 100 out of 10: amazing!! We will definitely stay again and recommend it to the world!!

Beautiful clean cozy house on a creek. Small but spacious enough with two porches for a family luncheon. Will definitely rent again.

I recently stayed at this charming cottage in Landrum, SC, seeking solace near my ailing older brother and a quiet space to write. As I parked my vehicle to the side, I was immediately struck by the rustic exterior, a timeworn shell that evoked a bygone era of wilderness and tranquility. Little did I know that this initial impression would profoundly resonate with my soul, blending seamlessly with the cottage’s interior—a doorway into the serenity and simplicity of forgotten days. It was more than a retreat; it was a restorative journey into peace and reflection. A gem.

The home was ideal for us, everything we needed an then some. We enjoyed sitting on the dock, kayaking, enjoying the peace and quiet. The house was well supplied, slept well, kitchen had everything. Could not have asked for more.

This property is as close to perfect as can be. Peaceful, surrounded by beautiful forest and wonderful walking trails, my husband and I completely enjoyed the opportunity to unwind from hectic work schedules and just let our dogs wander and play on this secluded property. They especially enjoyed playing and splashing in the creek! The cabin is just right, super clean and comfortable, with everything you need. David and Kerry are superb hosts, so friendly and helpful, the kind of people you’re grateful to have met. We left two hours ago and were already looking at our calendars for another trip. If you’re looking for a beautiful, peaceful place surrounded by nature, don’t look any further than David and Kerry’s wonderful cabin in the forest.
