  • Perfect for our vacation needs!

"Attending a family wedding in Calgary, we needed a place which was located close to Willow Park but with easy access to downtown, could accommodate four adults plus a baby and had some interesting features to enhance our stay. This house certainly filled the bill. The kitchen is probably the most well equipped of any house rental i have experienced. The range of condiments, spices, and basic cooking items plus pans, dishes, etc., almost tempted me to stay in and cook!!!! Sleeping arrangements suited our needs and it was great to have the pack'n'play, high chair and toys for the 14 month old! An added bonus was the park across the street with the great views of the Bow river and downtown. A grocery store, drug store and bank were conveniently close by. Highly recommended!"

  • Fantastic condo

"There were 4 couples in our group, 2 stayed in this condo, 2 in another. The views from this condo are amazing. The condo is beautifully decorated, the kitchen is very well stocked, the furniture is nice & comfortable, a secure wi-fi is provided, having the washer & dryer in the condo was convenient, bathrooms very nice and beds comfortable. We loved the secure underground parking. The condo was convenient to town so we walked there almost every day. The picnic tables & benches by the stream right outside the condo bldg. made for a relaxing place to sit and chat with our friends we traveled with. A park pass was provided which we appreciated since we needed one every day. Kim was a pleasure to work with and responded quickly when we emailed or called. We highly recommend this condo!"

  • A most beautiful and well-appointed VRBO...

"Carmen and Glen have created what is perhaps the perfect VRBO. The wooded glen where the Gatehouse is located could not be more idyllic and its proximity to Mt. Robson is thrilling beyond the telling of it. The Gatehouse is *perfectly* oriented toward Mt. Robson. That lovely hulk of a mountain fills your heart with joy. I don't need to review the house - read the other reviews and look closely at the photographs - it's all there and accurate and right. I want to talk about the details. The log fence, for instance, must have cost a fortune and it makes the place seem so much more snug and secure - it is literally a "hug." The kitchen is the best supplied that I have ever seen in a VRBO. It sports an electronic instant-read thermometer (a must have in my kitchen) a potato peeler, a bamboo cutting board, a roasting pan w/rack, other pyrex baking dishes, tupperware, dish clothes - rare in other VRBOs - really all the things you'll need to create just about anything your heart (stomach) desires. There are small appliances: a powerful hand-mixer, a stick blender and a regular blender and a full-sized electric griddle with oil catch. Happily there is an electric tea kettle and a nice (clean) tea pot that is big enough to serve 4. I mention again that this is so rare in most VRBOs that it must be noted and applauded - loudly - Tea Drinkers Rejoice! The shower is less than ideal to me. It was chic a few years ago to place your shower - often surrounded by river rock - anywhere you took a fancy. I don't like to have water splashed about, I always feel I am damaging the sills - "sill"y, of course - but the bathroom does have ambient heating in the floor so that it dries quickly. We passed through Jasper and took advantage of the terrific Bear's Paw Bakery and went a few times into Valemount. They have a full-sized (somewhat unfriendly) IGA but they also have another terrific bakery - The Swiss Bakery. Sylvia - the owner - is an adorable creature and Dave's Funky Goat Food Truck served the VERY BEST poutine we had this trip! No contest! The mountains surrounding Valemount are stunning. Other have mentioned the noise from the nearby road. You can't see it really - there are trees between you and it - and I slept in the loft on the right - away from the road - so I could not really hear it either. But my partner - in the left loft - heard the traffic a bit. If you travel with a Marpac Dohm DS Sound Machine - every traveler should - then you'll have no problem at all..."

  • It is a Great Mountain Getaway!

"This condo unit was everything I had hoped for and more. My 3 brothers and I stayed here for 4 nights in early November. This unit has 4 separate sleeping areas which was important for a good night's rest since we are all snorers! The complex is very well cared for and all the amenities, auch as the hot tub, bbq's and exercise room were in good shape. The underground parking is also a nice feature. The condo unit itself was clean, roomy and very well equipped. Owner Dwain supplied comprehensive instructions for the different lock codes and WiFi. He readily responded to any inquiry that I had regarding the rental. The location of the complex is just off the Trans Canada and is only a short drive away from Canmore. It made a great jumping off point for sightseeing in the Canmore, Banff and Lake Louise corridor."
