  • A unique home with a little "quirkiness". Clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay very much.

"We booked our stay in Fernie for a family wedding. 6 adults and 2 babies (6 months & 8 months). There was enough room to set up playpens in the bedrooms. Each bedroom has a sink which at first seemed unusually but proved to be quite convenient. The living room is very spacious with very high ceilings. The kitchen was very nice and was stocked with the staples we needed and small appliances. Very easy to cook a meal or the home is close to town to enjoy an evening out or bring takeout in. As we were visiting over the Canada Day weekend, we were able to enjoy the local fireworks display from the very unique "crowsnest". High above the roofline with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The outdoor deck area included a hot tub, but we didn't have time to test it out. The walking/bike paths are right across a quiet street with easy access to the river. Nan and Mike were very good and easy to deal with. After returning home, Nan let me know that she had found an earring. I then discovered I had lost both of them. Nan looked again and found the second one too and made arrangements to get them back to me. It was a very comfortable stay and would definitely stay again and recommend it."

  • Good Stay at Ferniehouse

"We (two families with a total of 6 kids ages 2 -11) enjoyed our stay at Ferniehouse. The location is convenient for most activites in the Fernie area and the house is nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the inflatable mattress in the loft worked well for a couple of the kids. The hot tub was very popular with our group and we made good use of the patio furniture and firepit. The kids enjoyed the games and books that came with the house. There were a few small maintenance issues with the house (be careful with the deck railing off the front bedroom if you have small children) that we passed along to the owner, who was very receptive to our feedback. A griddle and a mixer would be great additions to the kitchen. Overall, we thought this property was very good value."

  • Great stay

"I have stayed at this house several times and would strongly recommend it. This time there were only 3 of us, but there have been as many as 7 in the past. We use the house as a headquarters for fly fishing activities. The house is well maintained and stocked. It is always impeccably clean. The hot tub and pool table are nice touches after a long day fishing. This trip we had three moose in the pond behind the house most evenings. It was a nice touch. Great house. Great location. Great hosts."

  • All Around Impressive Lodge

"With views of the hill, the Lodge catered to all of our needs. Separate areas for cooking, eating, watching TV or hanging by the fire gave us 9 adult guests tons of space. Fully equipped kitchen and BBQ were perfect for creating fantastic dinners. Large dining table provided ample space for our group (plus a few more) for dinners and after dinner cards and laughs. The outdoor hot tub was perfect for soothing the muscles after a day on the hill. The Lodge got full marks from each in our group despite our different tastes and interests. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this classy and comfortable Lodge to anyone (but would prefer to use it again ourselves). Thanks, Carol!"
