  • Fernie Weekend May Long 2016

"Perfect get away, rained all weekend, not our hosts' fault. Enjoyed the hot tub a couple of times. Our dog, Shar, loved the beautiful back yard, lots of room to explore. Maggie (hosts' pup) visited a couple of times, fed her some treats, hope that was ok. Everything at hand to cook, Kris offered to pick up groceries for us, sweet! Private, clean & bright, thanks for having us Kris & Jen, much better than a dingy, carbon copy hotel room. We highly recommend. DG"

  • A unique home with a little "quirkiness". Clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay very much.

"We booked our stay in Fernie for a family wedding. 6 adults and 2 babies (6 months & 8 months). There was enough room to set up playpens in the bedrooms. Each bedroom has a sink which at first seemed unusually but proved to be quite convenient. The living room is very spacious with very high ceilings. The kitchen was very nice and was stocked with the staples we needed and small appliances. Very easy to cook a meal or the home is close to town to enjoy an evening out or bring takeout in. As we were visiting over the Canada Day weekend, we were able to enjoy the local fireworks display from the very unique "crowsnest". High above the roofline with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The outdoor deck area included a hot tub, but we didn't have time to test it out. The walking/bike paths are right across a quiet street with easy access to the river. Nan and Mike were very good and easy to deal with. After returning home, Nan let me know that she had found an earring. I then discovered I had lost both of them. Nan looked again and found the second one too and made arrangements to get them back to me. It was a very comfortable stay and would definitely stay again and recommend it."

  • T. Family

"First time skiing for my grandchildren, visiting from Asia. The condo was very convenient for all of us to cohabit, to go back and forth from the hill p, and to host our family Easter dinner. Additionally, it felt like a home away from home - the youngest was calling it "my house" by the end of our stay. We just needed to stay longer!"

  • Perfect Multi Family Home

"The Snow lake house was a perfect choice, we were two families with a total of 9 people. Three floor house allowed a lot of space to have time to yourself or be in the common areas with others. The younger 4 stayed in the rooms in the basement, the adults and 17 teen year old niece stayed in the 3 bedrooms up stairs each bedroom had its own eusuite which worked out very well. After a good day of skiing or first thing in the morning the view of the back deck or from the Kitchen is second to none 80% of the Fernie ski hill can be seen from the back of this location. The hot tub was also a great feature for soaking some sore mussels and on the clear evenings the star gazing was impressive, you could also watch the groomers up on the mountain getting the hill ready for the next day. The house is well equipped with all the necessities for cooking to board games the pool table was a hit with the boys and the large fridge and freezer accommodated all our food for our 6 night stay as we ate breakfast lunch and supper at the house. The locker on the ski hill was also a welcomed part of the house which allowed a person to leave skis and pole on the hill and not have to pack them back and forth from the house. The Fernie on hill village has all the little thing you may need from a small liquor / convenience store to restaurants and lounges all within walking distance of the Snow Lake House. Mike and Anna were great to deal with and met us when we checked into the house and went through the particulars and answered any questions we had. The lines of communication were always open for our whole stay if we had any questions. Thanks for the great stay. Kyle"
