  • Beautiful!

"This condo was amazing! Right on the ocean and park. The condos kitchen was stocked full of every utensil needed. There was lots of extra bedding. The only thing need was more bathroom tissue as there was not enough for 6 people for 1 week stay. We will definitely be returning. Peter was great to deal with."

  • A Gorgeous Rainy Escape

"My wife and I chose to honeymoon in Vancouver & Bowen specifically for the rain. We're from Southern California where the rain has been elusive for years. We spent four nights here in the hideaway and just did not want to leave. The view was spectacular. The cabin was warm and cozy. The VHS collection was great (especially if you're a Jane Austen fan). We especially enjoyed playing the Trivial Pursuit that was published 2 years after we were born. (That was a looong game!) We hiked to town daily (45 min. one-way) and took the shuttle back at night. For those who want to fly in and not take a car to visit the hideaway, it's totally doable if you're even partially familiar with transit. From YVR, buy an all-day transit pass (~$9.50CDN) and take the blue line to City Centre. Exit the underground station and make your way to street level. From there, walk to the bus stop at West Georgia & Seymour. The sign should show service on the 257 and 257 express to Horseshoe Bay. The 257 takes a beautiful route through West Vancouver but the express takes the highway and only takes half the time. The route terminates at the ferry. Take the ferry to Bowen Island (you pay for your trip over, but not back). Once docked, you walk off the ferry and follow the rest of the crowd. You'll come across a library and in front of that library is a bench and a bus stop for the Bowen Island shuttle. Use that all-day transit pass you purchased to jump on the C11 shuttle toward Eaglecliff and let the driver know that you need to get to Cleator Road. Once at Cleator, walk down the steep switchback (a hike on its own!) to get to the Hideaway."

  • Lovely and clean!

"We were visiting Shawnigan Lake for our son's hockey tournament and this cabin was perfect! The Kinsol Tressel is walking distance and is definitely worth it! We would definitely stay there again."

  • The Perfect Escape!

"Our family has had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful Chalet twice in the last 2 years. You could definitely call this space our "Happy Place"! This home is beautiful and has a stunning open concept floor plan allowing you to take in picture perfect views from every room. The home is extremely clean, spacious and is equipped with a BBQ, all appliances, dishes, towels, bedding, and extra blankets you could possibly need. The home is large enough to sleep 10 adults and the beds and bedding are extremely comfortable. Another feature we appreciate is the use of laundry services that is always an added plus when traveling. The home has a beautiful deck with a large hot tub that overlooks the stunning landscape and if you are lucky enough you might even see a few deer walking through as you soak. We love this home and it's easy access to the trail system for biking, hiking and jogging. It is also close to the hill for skiing and minutes away from downtown Fernie if you want to enjoy a day of shopping, eating and strolling around. We will be back for many years to come!!! Thanks for the great memories!!"
