  • Very relaxing holiday in a quiet setting yet close to town and all of the activities.

"My wife and I really enjoyed our four days at the cabin: especially the deck and the yard where we enjoyed morning coffees and BBQ suppers. The yard, with its many trees ( some fruit trees ) made it very peaceful and had lots of space for our small puppy to run around. The small cabin provided everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. The finishing on the inside of the cabin was well done and made good use of the small space. The loft bed was quite unique and a bit of a challenge, especially for bathroom breaks in the middle of the night. Christine, our host, was very helpful and had lots of useful information such as good eating places, things to see and most of all, a place where we could buy fresh fish every day. We toured the island, did some wine tasting, beer tasting and had coffee breaks at a couple of the great bakeries (Barb's Buns, Embe Bakery ). All in all, our stay was exactly what we were looking for. We would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends."

  • Cozy and rustic. Perfect mix of nature and conveniences of modern life!

"I absolutely loved my solo stay in this cozy little cabin and it was the perfect place to retreat to on my first visit to Salt Spring. It was tucked away far enough from town that I felt like I was in nature but it was still only a quick drive down to Ganges (less than 5 minutes). I met with the owner as I checked in but my privacy was respected for the duration of my stay. The cabin was a tiny bit more rustic than I expected from the photos but that made me love it even more. The bed was extremely comfortable as other guests have mentioned and it definitely allowed me a good night's rest. Very soft. I was delighted that on both of the mornings, multiple deer nibbled in front of the big windows and I was constantly hearing birds and the sounds of nature. The sun hits the deck perfectly in the afternoon. It is a few minute drive to the Mt. Maxwell which I would recommend for some amazing views (fairly steep road with deep potholes in order to get up though so be prepared). I would fully recommend this getaway spot to couples looking for some alone time or anyone who needs a break from the bustle of life. I stayed for two nights but I felt like it wasn't quite long enough. I would love to come back! Terrific hospitality. I miss the HappiNest already!"

  • Peaceful and relaxing

"This is a lovely suite on gorgeous SSI. The hot tub is great and I did an eye-opening physio session with Brett in the pyramid--he also does private and group yoga classes. The hosts have a lovely garden and the setting is very private. Highly recommended and a short drive to everywhere on the island."
