  • Fantastic location

"We spent a week at Heron House in Deep Bay and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The people in the Deep Bay community were friendly and helpful, and the cafe at the marina was a great place to eat and watch the 2 pair of eagles that were nesting nearby. The house was perfectly located to visit surrounding areas like Cathedral Grove, Pacific Rim, and the Campbell River area. Sunsets from the deck of the home were breathtaking. Groceries and spirits were available a short distance away in Bowser. There was a nice and relatively short hiking trail with a number of waterfalls nearby at Nile Creek....access to the trail is at the Nile Creek bridge on Hwy 19. Thank you John and Julie for sharing your lovely home. We will be back!"

  • Great Stay

"I depend on a lot on the VRBO reviews myself so I will try to be as detailed as possible. First the positives: If you are looking for a location close to the beach, this is it. The beach is a 5 min walk down a path along the adjacent grounds of the Beach Club resort. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and the path has a hose to wash the sand off on your way back. You are also very close Parksville Community park with a great playground for the kids with a splash park and ice cream trucks parked all day. The condo itself has a nice indoor pool and hot tub that is well maintained, very secure building and parking and a gym. The updated kitchen in the condo is great and had everything we needed and more. The bathroom is also very clean with a spacious tub. The bed and linens were soft and comfy and we even used the sofa bed in the living room for my son and that was comfy and clean as well (huge plus when the beds and linens are so clean). The negatives may seem petty, but I promised to include a detailed review: the biggest negative for us was the street noise which we are not used too. The condo faces the main boulevard, I had to wear ear plugs at night because the trucks and multiple cars that passed by all night. The condo appeared to only have single pane windows so if it had a double that may have helped. We got used to it though and the air conditioning does drown it out a bit. The carpet in the bedroom was a little stained and dirty in some areas which does not match the rest of the condo because the floors were clean and in such great shape. All in all our stay was great and we hope to make it back very soon!"

  • Kevin R.

"We would like to thank Robin and Pierre for the use of their wonderful house. We had a terrific stay. It was such a pleasure to take our morning coffee on the oceanfront deck while the eagles soured overhead. The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes we needed. No need for restaurants. The house itself was beautifully decorated, creating a relaxing ambiance. It was the perfect place to celebrate my sisters 60th birthday with people flying in from Alberta as well as those on the Island😀 We will be back:)."

  • Excellent location and accomodation!

"Our 3 night stay was more than comfortable, with 4 adults and 2 children. The house was immaculate, with a well stocked kitchen, including a crock pot and great selection of wine glasses. This home is spacious and inviting, within walking distance to stores. I would recommend Bowser Beach House without hesitation."
