"The property was every bit as good as the photos suggested and the location, set within a very quiet and smart residential area, was excellent, about 15 minutes drive into Victoria or $20 for a taxi. The biggest bonus is the decking area overlooking the beach, all set within a really beautiful and picturesque cove. Plenty of wildlife to be seen including Humming Birds and Herons but a fantastic bonus was spotting a family of Sea Otters whilst out in the canoe. Overall, we (two couples) had a wonderful, relaxing and comfortable stay."

  • Great base camp to tour Victoria!

"Our Idaho British Car group spent 3 days at this beautiful house, and we enjoyed every moment there. The house was lovely, the neighbors very friendly and the accommodations very comfortable. It was nice to stay somewhere other than a motel room; we were able to visit and stretch out like we would not have been able in a motel. The close proximity to the bus route was a plus, as we took the bus to get downtown one day. Overall a very pleasant experience, and we would recommend this house to anyone looking for a more comfortable stay in Victoria!"

  • Beautiful

"Russ and Terry, We are so glad we finally decided on your beach house to rent for our vacation. The property is absolutely stunning and the house is spotless and very comfortable. The owners have really thought of everything to make your stay relaxing and a true home away from home. We made most of our meals at the house and we found everything we needed to do so. Things like laundry detergent, dryer sheets, extra paper towels, napkins, firewood, dishwasher soap, shampoo, coffee, umbrellas, board games and movies are just some of the things available at the house. The beds were extremely comfortable and we loved bedding. We woke up feeling rested each morning. We all enjoyed the fire pit near the water and there was plenty of firewood on the property for us. We were also pleased to find a pack and play for the baby to sleep in and even a couple of baby feeding chairs. Barb is the housekeeper and we ended up calling her with a couple questions and she quickly came over and helped us out and even brought us an exersaucer for the baby! She was extremely helpful and friendly and we appreciated that. The owner, Russ, even called to make sure everything was going well and told my husband all about the resident eagles on the property and that we could drive down the road to Fanny Bay to see the sea lions. This property is so private and peaceful. The views are just amazing. We loved waking up to the sound of the Eagles talking. The kids loved the hot tub and the trails around the property. Communication was fantastic. Their daughter, Ashley, handled our booking and she always responded in a timely manner, answered any questions we had and was extremely pleasant to deal with. When we arrived home, we discovered we forgot a few things at the house, so we emailed right away and they immediately offered to mail our things to us! We can't say enough great things about this property and the owners. If you want to feel totally relaxed, enjoy stunning views, wildlife and a spotless and comfortable home then this is the vacation rental for you. We would recommend this home to anyone. Thank you so much."

  • A Week in Bowser

"Property was modern, clean, spacious and exactly as described - no complaints. When we arrived, we were met by a neighbour who acts as an on-site caretaker. We had one, very minor issue during our stay which was resolved immediately by the caretaker. The house is about a one minute walk to the beach. While the beach is rocky, we had great fun exploring at low tide when sandy spots were exposed. We saw many crabs, starfish and fish. We used the house as a base to explore Qualicum, Parksville, Deep Bay and Coombs. We visited swimming holes at Little Qualicum Falls (where we saw cray fish) and at Top Bridge Park. We mountain biked in Cumberland and Mount Washington Bike Park. All in all a great time for me and my kids."
