  • Great Experience

"Location, Location, Location! Could not have been at a better place. Being from Alberta we were extremely pleased with this beautiful island home directly on the beach as described. We had our parents from Langford, BC and sister from Naniamo, BC to join us for the weekend and they were blown away with the location and views! It reminded them of the old days when they used to go camping on Denman and Hornby islands. We enjoyed hiking everywhere, golfing everywhere and visiting old friends in Qualicum beach. Everything was just a short and enjoyable drive away. I loved beach combing when the tide was out and even saw a black bear walking along the beach right in front one early morning. I enjoyed the music selection as well as sifting through the massive collection of very interesting books. The views and serenity of this place was to die for, I really did not want to leave. Jim it was a pleasure to meet you and to stay at your fabulous home for a week. We will be back again!"

  • Deep Bay Bliss

"I had a wonderful week here. The beautiful vacation rental was spotless and has everything one needs to enjoy a variety of meals. Don and Sharon are gracious hosts and great cooks. The seafood dinner was delicious. The locals are very friendly and helpful. The view from this place is spectacular. I loved hanging out here, I am coming back."

  • Perfect

"We just spend May Long weekend in this accommodation and couldn't be happier. We are a family of 4 and this had plenty of space(We actually didn't use the 3rd bedroom as our boys wanted to share a bed). The view and access to the beach is so close, it just draws you into wanting to be down there all the time. There is tons of shells and sand dollars to collect, makes it extremely fun for kids and adults too :) The ground floor unit was very nice and had everything we needed as its stalked with the basics.....We went to Costco and stalked up on food for the weekend so we didn't need to eat out. Before leaving, we utilized the washer/dryer so we didn't have to do laundry when we arrived back home.... The only 2 downsides to this ground floor is when upstairs unit has people, you can hear their footsteps/chatting if they aren't quiet talkers and the hot tub vibration when going(think its only when the jets are on) but over-all, I'd totally stay here again in future!!!!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS UNIT...ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE KIDS :) We WILL be back! Thanks again for your lovely accommodation!"

  • Quiet and Cozy Winter Escape

"We had a lovely stay at Timmerhouse during the holiday season, it offered the serene respite we were after. Our hosts were extremely friendly, willing to provide insight about where to go in the area, and eager to make sure we were comfortable. The home has beautiful views of the woods and water, an amazing fireplace, comfortable beds, and an easy-to-find location. The balcony and patio give you incredible outdoor space, and great views of snowy hills. The kitchen is well-equipped, though some of the cookware could be updated. The only thing that would have made this relaxing winter retreat more perfect is a hot tub!"
