  • Relaxation at its best!

"We had a very relaxing stay in this cozy home. The views from the nice hot tub and new deck were amazing - daily sunrises and sunsets were so lovely looking across to the Olympic Peninsula. The corner windows were charming, and since they were single pane they allow for the sound of waves to lull one to sleep. Backyard was nice to roam, albeit would have to be careful with small children pathway at times very close to cliffs. Tho no private beach itself the neighbours have access to one apparently one could access via their stairs. The house looks like the pictures, with beautiful ocean views from every room in the house, especially the master bedroom. It's quite close to the road so you'd have to be careful if bringing your dog as the place is not completely fenced. Great close proximity to the Juan de Fuca beautiful trails and beaches. The owner was very easy to reach and made sure everything went smoothly during our stay. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape!"

  • AWESOME ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND

"My husband and I rented this home for 3 nights for our Wedding Anniversary and could not have asked for more. The view from the couch was spectacular as well as from the cooking island. I loved cooking here as the view made it not feel like work at all.The bed was so comfortable , well equipped kitchen, lots of closet space , cloths washer ,dryer , dishwasher and zero noise. This property would be perfect for a longer rental , a week or more, as a result of being so well equipped. There was even extra sets of bedding and many towels so that you would not have to do it if you had a longer stay. It was spotlessly clean and I am very fussy .We loved it so much that we asked the owner if he would consider selling as we are in process of house hunting for our retirement home, sadly he said "no".Thanks for sharing your beautiful home."

  • Lovely place to stay!

"This property was very lovely, peaceful and quiet. It is well maintained, and very clean. There is only a small fridge to store your perishable food, and two convection hot plates to cook on. If you're not doing too much in the kitchen, it's ok. Situated about 10 minutes past Sooke, and looking out across the road to the Juan de Fuca Strait. The hosts Don and Melanie were very friendly, and provided great customer service. The large guest room is situated on the top floor and access is by a murphy ladder. This room is the only area within the unit where you can get a view of the water. My husband and I were not comfortable climbing the ladder to bed and getting up in the night, so we stayed on the main level and there is a murphy bed available. The murphy bed was very comfortable, the pillows very comfy. So we didn't mind at all. The suite is situated at the back of their garage, right next to their house. We were invited to use their back yard fire pit and use their BBQ. Some of the activities we enjoyed were spending time on Gordon's Beach, Whale watching out of Sooke, visiting the Salt Spring Island. I would recommend this property to friends or relatives, informing them that the upper level is only accessible by a ladder. If you don't mind the ladder, and don't need a stove to cook on or a larger fridge, this place could be perfect for you!"
