  • Getaway

"We were looking for a place to getaway for a week and this condo and area was exactly what we were looking for. Once we parked we never used our vehicle for the entire week. We walked Beacon Hill Park area, Walkways to Esquimalt area, parts of the Galloping Goose Trail and all around the city from Mayfair Mall to the Parliament Bldgs. We visited the Royal BC Museum in the day and returned in evening to Imax for movie 'Sully', a great time. So many great eateries in the area, we enjoyed Willie's Bakery, Johns Place on Pandora, Nautical Nellies for steak night, Il Terrazzo for Italian, Famosa Pizza, 10 Acres Bistro & Bar as well as the Sunshine Cafe for breakfast in Esquimalt. There are so many more we will have to return. The condo has all you will need to cook in if you choose, very relaxing and comfortable. Colleen and Jane were excellent to deal with."

  • Dream House with a wonderful owner!

"We were a family of 5, my mother, my husband and my 2 children (3 and 6 years old) travelling from Trinidad. We absolutely fell in love with that property on the sea, so beautiful inside out. Very clean and welcoming, fresh flowers upon your arrival, you felt in a 5 star resort! The owner was so welcoming, as she saw us coming with no much warm clothes, she immediately ran into her house, and came back with sweaters and warm coats! Also she made sure to have plenty toys for my children, they were delighted! All these kind gestures were very much appreciated. The house is so beautifully decorated inside, it really makes you feel in holiday without having to walk outside! We also enjoyed lighting up camp fire outside where the children would roast marshmallows! Anna Cox was also so helpful in telling us where to eat, where to buy quality products, and all the different trails to visit plus directing you to the best tour operator for whale watching! We went with Go Wild and it was an incredible experience, we saw Orcas, Humpback whales, eagles and sea lions! All in one day! The eagles would also stand in front of the beach house, you can experience wildlife right in front! We saw black bears walking along the river as well! This holiday was everything we could dream of! We highly recommend Campbell River as there is so much to do and experience, and I ABSOLUTELY recommend Anna Cox's beach house! The BEST PLACE to stay and I can't say it enough!!! We will definitely be back to this house xxx"

  • Perfect home!

"We are a family of 5, (2 adults plus three kids-5,3&3 years old). This home has everything you need for a getaway! Kitchen is well equipped and the unit is very clean throughout. With three young kids, the proximity to the beach is a bonus; not to mention the little wagon Archie has with all the beach toys for us to use! The kids had so much fun during our stay! It was our first time to Parksville and we were a little surprised to see how kids friendly this little town is. The location of the unit is central with lots of things to see and do around us! We were telling all our friends and family about the trip, for sure we will return some time!"

  • Literaly a Home Away

"Many vacation rentals are so sterile, like hotel rooms. This home is like visiting your sister's place, you know, the 'rich' sister, the art dealer. It is hard for the on-line pictures to do it justice. The home is like living in an at galley with Inuit, local indigenous and oriental carvings and silkscreens intermingled with family photos. How to explain the feeling of Luxury? Our home has two doors; we have friends with three doors. This home has seven! Within a half hour of arriving we heard the telltale "pffff" and rushed to see a humpback whale swimming past the pier at the bottom of the property. A fledgling bald eagle was practicing flying while parents watch approvingly from trees on the adjacent property. So, rent the deck and get a luxury home thrown in. When in town, find Arthur at the Culture Shock coffee house and get a new perspective on native culture and spirituality. The whole experience of renting this home was magical for us and we wish the same for you. Truly better than you have the right to hope for."
