  • Perfect home!

"We are a family of 5, (2 adults plus three kids-5,3&3 years old). This home has everything you need for a getaway! Kitchen is well equipped and the unit is very clean throughout. With three young kids, the proximity to the beach is a bonus; not to mention the little wagon Archie has with all the beach toys for us to use! The kids had so much fun during our stay! It was our first time to Parksville and we were a little surprised to see how kids friendly this little town is. The location of the unit is central with lots of things to see and do around us! We were telling all our friends and family about the trip, for sure we will return some time!"

  • Great Stay

"I depend on a lot on the VRBO reviews myself so I will try to be as detailed as possible. First the positives: If you are looking for a location close to the beach, this is it. The beach is a 5 min walk down a path along the adjacent grounds of the Beach Club resort. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and the path has a hose to wash the sand off on your way back. You are also very close Parksville Community park with a great playground for the kids with a splash park and ice cream trucks parked all day. The condo itself has a nice indoor pool and hot tub that is well maintained, very secure building and parking and a gym. The updated kitchen in the condo is great and had everything we needed and more. The bathroom is also very clean with a spacious tub. The bed and linens were soft and comfy and we even used the sofa bed in the living room for my son and that was comfy and clean as well (huge plus when the beds and linens are so clean). The negatives may seem petty, but I promised to include a detailed review: the biggest negative for us was the street noise which we are not used too. The condo faces the main boulevard, I had to wear ear plugs at night because the trucks and multiple cars that passed by all night. The condo appeared to only have single pane windows so if it had a double that may have helped. We got used to it though and the air conditioning does drown it out a bit. The carpet in the bedroom was a little stained and dirty in some areas which does not match the rest of the condo because the floors were clean and in such great shape. All in all our stay was great and we hope to make it back very soon!"

  • Extremely pleased

"We are absolutely delighted with our stay at Garden Beach Cottage. The location is quite wonderful - right on the water with super views and lots of wildlife sauntering by to delight. This is a true cottage. Cozy and full of retro details. Excellent comfy beds. The bunk-beds were a nice surprise as the bottom is a double and top a single with good quality mattresses and linens. Queen bed also very good quality. Having planned to explore Vancouver Island from this central position, we actually spent a lot of our time 'at home' enjoying the view from the comfort of the sprawling decks. We'll be back!"
