  • Terrific Location! Wonderful House!

"Our extended three families of eight adults and seven children spent a fun and memorable week at Victoria Garden Estates, a beautiful home base from which to explore the Saanich Peninsula. From its terrific and convenient location we were able to board the ferry to Salt Spring Island, visit Victoria, Buchart Gardens, Cowichen Lake area, attend the Sidney Street Fair, bike the Galloping Goose Trail, etc. The home had lots of space inside and outside so we had plenty of room to spread out. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub most days and grassy area for ultimate frisbee as well as general exploring and walks to a nearby beach. We had lots of options to buy groceries--local supermarkets, farms and Costco. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we loved the dining areas in the house which accommodated our large group, esp. the patio dining area. The kitchen was well supplied with plenty of utensils, plates, cups, and pots/pans/serving dishes. The great game room in the garage was an added bonus for family bonding time as well as the piano for those who could play in our group. Louise and Bob were fabulous hosts, available to help us get situated and even provided walkie talkies so that we could keep in touch with each other on our daily excursions. We plan to return again!"

  • Simply superb

"This is a wonderfully secluded and yet prominently located log cabin comfortably set back from the cliff that drops down to Active Pass. You get the sense of being perched in the clouds. The vista to the west is stunning, especially early morning and evening. The ferries all pass through and they are a pleasure to watch and to hear their whistles sound. The first one is early, but you want to be an early riser to enjoy every minute of your stay. While technically a cabin, it has all the comforts of home and is extremely well equipped. Keep an eye on the water below as we saw orcas swim by early one evening. The most magical aspect was the sound they make. The treck to the beach is rigorous, but if you are moderately fit, no problem, and well worth the effort. The hosts are extremely responsive and friendly, although there was nothing we needed. We had a 10 day stay, and enjoyed every minute."

  • Great weekend

"This house was perfect for 3 generations of our family to stay while in the area for a wedding. My experience in staying at VRBO's is that if the owners are organized with their replies and communication then the house is also well thought out and everything works out well. This was certainly the case in dealing with Susan and Don, no complaints, first class all the way!!!"

  • Quiet retreat

"Our month long stay was almost to short. The location and laid back atmosphere of north Sidney & our hosts have made us consider a move to the island. We definitely recommend 3 Eagles B&B or cabin as everything we needed to feel at home was provided. Thank you Marnie & Graham for a relaxing vacation home."
