  • Spacious, and most comfortable!

"Sandy and Tony are the most gracious of hosts. They have thought of every amenity possible to insure a most wonderful stay in beautiful Sidney. The apt. is in a perfect location to enjoy the town, waterways, and all travel routes. I had the best of times, and my only dilemma is deciding when I might return!😊"

  • Wonderful ocean-side home-away-from-home

"Eagle's Nest was a perfect vacation home for me and my niece, we both LOVED it and highly recommend it. It's clean, well maintained, comfortable and beautifully furnished, with large windows that bring the ocean indoors. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped; the BBQ grill is large and high quality, as are the washer and dryer. Both bedrooms are nice, especially the master, with a highly organized walk-in closet and attached 1/2-bath. If you need a 3rd bedroom, the media room has a sofa bed and a door for privacy. The bathrooms are clean and nice, with a good shower and big tub. The free long-distance internet phones work fine in the media room. This rental is as described and pictured on vrbo - be sure to watch the video. The patio overlooking the ocean is perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner, as is the bistro table (for 2) in the sun room. You will undoubtedly find yourself sitting in the sun room, rain or shine, watching the ocean – what a beautiful view. My niece and I easily launched the kayaks from the backyard, and we enjoyed walking along the tidal flat when the tide was out. This rental is easy to get to and is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. It's ideally situated to: the ferries at Swartz Bay (5 minute drive), Van Isle Marina with its beautiful yachts and wonderful Sea Glass Waterfront Grill (5 minute walk), downtown Sidney (which is both cute and practical; 3 minute drive), and the Victoria International Airport (12 minute drive). It was easy to get to Butchart Gardens and the Cowichan Valley by car, and the bus to Victoria was very convenient. We had initially considered staying on one of the smaller islands (Salt Spring, etc.) but Eagle's Nest has a huge advantage if you want to explore Vancouver Island like we did – you aren't at the mercy of the ferry schedules except for visiting the smaller islands. Adrian, the owner, is considerate, friendly, and available by phone or email. He responded quickly to my inquiries and requests, and made us feel very welcome."

  • Sooooo beautiful!!

"From the moment we walked through the door, we loved this Studio Apartment!! Even though it's a studio, it is so spacious!! Susan and Don decorated the already wonderful space (fireplace, small kitchen) so elegantly and tastefully from the comfy couch and chair to an amazing king sized bed. And speaking of beds, imagine literally opening your eyes in the morning, and seeing Van Isle bay!!! We watched seal play, Canadian Geese and gray heron feeding and countless sail boats pass while eating al fresco on the balcony! Beautiful stay! We couldn't have been more pleased!! Would recommend it to anyone!"

  • The Patio Suite earns a most definite WOW factor!

"Fleeing Edmonton to seek an early Spring with blossoms, flowers, trees with leaves, clean fresh air, pleasant walks, the magic of the ocean, and small town amenities, we discovered a gem of a "home away from home" with the Patio Suite! Don and Susan are very attuned to the needs of their guests, providing many kitchen aides and appliances, dinner and table wear, even umbrellas! The luxurious touches such as the bath robes, the thick spa towels, the ever-so-comfortable king sized bed and the wine, flowers and chocolates upon arrival, were most pleasant and appreciated. The generous welcome extended to our family pet was also another reason for us to select this property. The housecleaner is an "Over the Top Professional" with very high standards. Cleaning aids were also available to make daily maintenance easy. Sidney is a friendly, exciting and lovely city to visit, with many side trip possibilities in and around Victoria. It is impossible to get enough beach walks and sight seeing and Susan has narrated many excursions in the "household binder." As we have family living nearby, we were able to invite them to the suite to share lunches, dinners and memorable moments, knowing we would be able to entertain them in a warm, lovely and beautiful atmosphere. We would like to extend our thanks to Don and Susan for facilitating our visit and for providing this perfect sanctuary! It is our pleasure to recommend this property."
