  • Lovely place in the heart of Victoria

"Beautiful, pristine condo. It did get a bit noisy sometimes at night, but the location and the views were spectacular. We loved it."

"|If you are looking to experience the rugged West Coast this is the place to go! Lots to see and do while still feeling rested and definitely relaxed. The place had it all and made us feel at home. Location was ideal for exploring the outdoors. Kids had a blast looking for clams and just playing on the beach. It was such a treat sitting in the hot tub enjoying the breathtaking view after a day of sightseeing. This place is ideal for all ages. No disappointments!!!!"

  • Swanky place, perfect location!

"My wife and I decided to stay in Victoria for the New Year's festivities, and found John's place here on VRBO. Since we have a big old black Labrador, we were also looking for a place that would be comfortable for our low-maintenance dog. The Soda Factory loft was perfect! This building really is a historic treasure, within easy walking distance of everything in downtown. One block from Chinatown, a couple of blocks from The Empress, less than a block from the water... the location simply can't be beat. Inside the loft, the bed was AMAZING. It was bigger than any bed I have ever slept in, and also isolated your movement from your partner. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to entertain (which we did!), and the fixtures and furniture are right out of Architectural Digest. Despite a little confusion on our arrival date (which turned out to be my fault!), John was happy, helpful, and friendly. We even ran into him walking down the street a few days later. This is a great space, well located, and the parking garage across the street turned out to be easy and relatively cheap ($14 for all day), so parking wasn't a problem either. We will definitely be coming back to stay here again!"

  • Enjoyed every single minute ...

"We (2 adults, 2 “kids”, 18 and 14 yrs old) spent nine days in this beautiful house. It is perfectly equipped with everything you need – and even more: who needs a TV or a computer when you can enjoy these breathtaking sunsets and have the chance to watch otters, seals, bald eagles, … all day long! Relaxing in the hot tub was one of our favorites, especially after one of the fantastic hikes close the house (e.g. to Mt. Maguire, Sooke Point) or after a bumpy whale watching tour, which we was one of the most amazing things we’ve ever done (and doing it on our daughter’s 18th birthday made it even more special!). There are so many other things to do – making trips to Victoria, Nanaimo, Port Renfrew, to one of the countless beaches, kayaking, … just to mention a few. This is definitively a place you love to come back!!!"
