  • Wonderful place

"We had a great time in our weekend in Sooke. Ruma is a wonderful host and the pace is beautiful, clean and very comfy. Gardens are stunning beautiful. Location is also great, walking distance to town but away from the busy roads. We loved the place, highly recommend it."

  • Fantastic East Sooke Cottage on the water

"This is a wonderful cottage. My wife and I were visiting BC for the first time and came across this rental. The property and home are both gorgeous. Our only real comment is that the pictures don't adequately display the beauty of the property. The home is simple, but that's what we were looking for on this trip. It was well kept, and clean. The path down to the water is incredible as it zigzags to the shore. We really enjoyed watching the crabs and starfish. Totally cool for us inlanders. The home is a perfect base for some really cool adventures in the area. We caught a limit of halibut with Good Time Dave who runs charters close to the cottage. We did a ton of hiking and exploring and got to see the unique natural features of this area. Highly recommended. I also really like the owners' responsiveness in booking and even after our stay. We didn't have any issues, but it's nice to know they are available and super helpful if you need something."

  • Beautiful Sea Side Cottage

"June was very quick to respond to e-mails when we inquired about dates and information on her "Little Beach House". The description and pictures were very accurate. We loved being right on the water and the glass windbreaks over the patio were great for those windy cool days. We did see seals from the cottage, lots of fishing boats and a cruise ship. Although the weather did not cooperate we still managed to get in lots of hiking. We went to the Sooke Potholes, numerous close beaches including, China, French and Botanical Beach (go when there is low tide and preferable when it's sunny). Also, Witty's Lagoon, East Sooke hiking trails, and the Wiffin Spit where we saw otters and seals. We enjoyed the outdoor shower when it wasn't raining. The little fireplace (heater) took the chill off. Again, a nicely decorated cottage right on the ocean. And PS "Lucy" was adorable."

  • Beautiful getaway

"Surfside cottage is located in a beautiful remote setting. Perfect place to take in amazing scenery and quiet down time. The cottage itself was very comfortable and felt like home. The view could not be better. In spite of the rainy weather we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, wood stove, and staring out over Juan de Fuca. Hard to leave."
