  • Wendy's home is a fabulous place to stay

"From our first view Wendy's home was a WOW and it just kept getting better. In between morning coffee on the deck watching a hummingbird feed on the Hibiscus tree in full bloom and dinners at sunset we enjoyed a most relaxing time. The views from the deck were an ever-changing seascape. The home is a welcoming reflection of her creativity, her sense of design and colour - we embraced it all. It was hard to leave but we will return.. Thank you Wendy for a most delightful weekend..... sarah & arvi"

  • Beautiful property in a stunning setting

"Spent a wonderful week in this beautiful property, the house was even nicer in reality than in the pictures. It is very well looked after and immaculately clean. We loved all the extra touches like the soaps and shower gels in the bathrooms. Our son loved the heated toilet seat. There is so much room and extra storage space down stairs. The gardens are beautifully kept and were full of raspberries and ripe peaches while we were there. One of the highlights of our week was spending our evenings sitting on the front deck watching the sun go down and the seals playing in the river. Our two children loved swimming and snorkelling in the river each day and using the kayaks. They did find it a little hard work on the rubber rings, they needed an adult with them for safety even though they are teenagers and good swimmers. My son and I also took a lovely ride along the cycle track into the countryside. We would recommend the very short walk across the bridge to the other side of the river to swim from the bigger beach rather than the small one outside the garden gate as it is less muddy and shallower. The house is in easy walking distance of the lovely town of Courtney, with lots of nice restaurants, cafes and gift shops. I would also recommend a look around the town museum, which although it is small is very informative and interesting, a must for anyone with children who love dinosaurs! We also enjoyed a long wander around the huge Walmart store on the outskirts of town. We were lucky enough to see lots of wildlife from seals to otters, we loved the binoculars and bird book left out to help you identify species. The highlight of the whole trip for my daughter was have to stop the car on the highway to let a black bear cross in front of us! Thank you for the fantastic week in your lovely home."

  • Beachfront House Nanoose Bay

"We loved staying at the Beachfront House. It was pretty much as advertised. Gorgeous view from the living room of the bay, we kept an eye open for the seals as they fished for their dinner. The stair case to be beach was easy to go down but maybe a problem for anyone with mobility issues. The beach itself is made up of loose stones and pebbles so again, anyone with mobility issues may have problems. The house itself was very spacious with a wide open kitchen. The rooms are widely spaced so privacy is no issue. We were there during the winter and can only imagine how nice the house would be in the summer. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook simple meals and there were plenty of dishes and there was no lack of towels or sheets. About the only negative we could come up with is it is s bit of a drive on the Island highway to any restaurants. There is small supermarket about 10 minutes away by car but anything else is about a 30 minute drive. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this place to everyone."

  • Weddings are for June

"I am actually surprised there are not more reviews given the high occupancy rate of this rental. The reason is, if you keep it quiet, it will be available for those of us who have stayed and want it for ourselves. Reluctantly I give this a very much appreciated excellent star rating...... This was a great find. Beautiful location, awesome rental that gave more than expected. We gathered for a family wedding and the owners juggled to accommodate us and did not disappointed. For all the ages we had in the unit - 6 months to 86 years, there was not an uncomfortable or dissatisfied sleeper. This is a well apppointed unit that provides relaxing views of the golfing world and closer than anticipated location to the Bear Mountain activities. Shopping was also nearer than expected and directions to the unit were easy to navigate for our family arriving by air, sea and road. Quiet and well kept grounds and cooperating weather made this a great stay. The management group were very easy to work with. Onsite arrival was personal and easy to contact if needed, which we found was not necessary due to good directions and support, but reassuring to have. The photos and video do not give this rental the real feeling of the space and higher end finishing provided, you get alot for your stay, enjoy. We will be back again and again. We hope there will be availability!!!"
