  • Loved the location

"My husband and I recently spent 6 nights in the 12th floor condo in Astoria Building. The location was fantastic very close to many restaurants and the inner harbour. As mentioned by others this is a very secure place and lovely grounds; we used the parkade for a few days but did not need a car the whole time because of close walking distance to sites. We liked the idea of breakfasts and lunches in the condo and mostly went out for dinner as there are so many great eating places. Also enjoyed the balcony for sipping wine and enjoying the views. Bartholemew's British pub next door had good food and we attended one evening to hear a band playing classic rock tunes, nice to have live entertainment nearby. Others we liked were Nautical Nellie's, Red Fish, Blue Fish and Catalona. Janet, our host met us as planned and was very thorough ensuring we had a good tour of the premises. Would love to stay here again sometime in the future."

  • Weddings are for June

"I am actually surprised there are not more reviews given the high occupancy rate of this rental. The reason is, if you keep it quiet, it will be available for those of us who have stayed and want it for ourselves. Reluctantly I give this a very much appreciated excellent star rating...... This was a great find. Beautiful location, awesome rental that gave more than expected. We gathered for a family wedding and the owners juggled to accommodate us and did not disappointed. For all the ages we had in the unit - 6 months to 86 years, there was not an uncomfortable or dissatisfied sleeper. This is a well apppointed unit that provides relaxing views of the golfing world and closer than anticipated location to the Bear Mountain activities. Shopping was also nearer than expected and directions to the unit were easy to navigate for our family arriving by air, sea and road. Quiet and well kept grounds and cooperating weather made this a great stay. The management group were very easy to work with. Onsite arrival was personal and easy to contact if needed, which we found was not necessary due to good directions and support, but reassuring to have. The photos and video do not give this rental the real feeling of the space and higher end finishing provided, you get alot for your stay, enjoy. We will be back again and again. We hope there will be availability!!!"

  • Tops in all regards!

"We stayed in this beautiful condo for 2 weeks, which included Christmas and New Year. I was a bit concerned about 'decorating' for the season. When we came in, the entire condo was tastefully decorated by Jolie! Phil and Jolie went out of their way in many regards: testing the internet ahead of time for speed for us, calling to welcome us and making sure all was well, and more. Fabulous view, cozy robes, heated floors in bathroom, magnificent kitchen (top line everything) with every possible 'tool'. Watch for "hidden" drawers within drawers" for more! The one and only concern was the second beautiful bedroom: it had glass French doors! Our daughter solved this problem by buying a spring rod and light curtains for privacy. Really a non-issue. Our heartfelt thanks to our hosts."

  • Terrific Location! Wonderful House!

"Our extended three families of eight adults and seven children spent a fun and memorable week at Victoria Garden Estates, a beautiful home base from which to explore the Saanich Peninsula. From its terrific and convenient location we were able to board the ferry to Salt Spring Island, visit Victoria, Buchart Gardens, Cowichen Lake area, attend the Sidney Street Fair, bike the Galloping Goose Trail, etc. The home had lots of space inside and outside so we had plenty of room to spread out. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub most days and grassy area for ultimate frisbee as well as general exploring and walks to a nearby beach. We had lots of options to buy groceries--local supermarkets, farms and Costco. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we loved the dining areas in the house which accommodated our large group, esp. the patio dining area. The kitchen was well supplied with plenty of utensils, plates, cups, and pots/pans/serving dishes. The great game room in the garage was an added bonus for family bonding time as well as the piano for those who could play in our group. Louise and Bob were fabulous hosts, available to help us get situated and even provided walkie talkies so that we could keep in touch with each other on our daily excursions. We plan to return again!"
