  • Pristine condo, excellent location, and impeccable service

"I cannot say enough good things about our experience. From start to finish, we were over the moon impressed with every aspect of our stay. Once you book the condo, you will receive numerous emails about the property, the area, recommendations, and check-in processes. That's a really nice touch because having booked so many places over VRBO/HomeAway, I'm sometimes nervous when I don't immediately hear from the booking service. Arrival information is clear and you're given numerous contacts to insure a smooth check-in. Lawrence was amazing and took the time to get us familiar with the area, recommended restaurants, and great attractions. The condo itself is sparkly clean (I'm almost a germophobe, so this is always a big deal for me). The layout is fantastic, giving everyone lots of space. As a corner unit, the windows are tall and the light is fantastic. Having stayed in so many vacation homes before, I was shocked at how well-stocked this home was. The kitchen is better equipped than my kitchen at home! The parking garage is safe and large. The condo is more beautiful than the pictures can show. As for location, it cannot be beat. Restaurants galore at your doorstep; literally, since there is a delicious restaurant at the base of the building. All of the restaurants, stores, coffee shops, ice cream places, Chinatown, the Harbor, farmers markets -- everything is walking distance. We always look for walking proximity to amenities and this condo more than fits the bill. I do not hesitate to recommend this property and this team! I only wish this team ran the booking for every property I want to book. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

  • Family gathering

"Beautiful property, Paul's attention to detail is very evident in the decorating and cleanliness. The kitchen is fully stocked and lovely to prepare meals in. The home is in a quiet area but is within walking distance of grocery stores etc. We were one of three couples of a family gathering. We had vehicles but also enjoyed some nice walks. We rented the three bedroom main floor and it felt like home. Thanx Paul."

  • Wonderfully quiet cottage close to the sea

"What a WONDERFUL week long vacation in Caddy's Carriage house. We stayed here with our 7 year old son, and he loved the loft and the "cozy cabin" as he put it. It is within walking distance to a local grocery and drug store, a coffee shop, a few restaurants, trinket/clothing shops, and a board rental shop. We were able to rent a few boards and do some paddle boarding in Cadboro Bay. What a delightful experience! The cottage was cute and quaint and we felt right at home. The amenities including laundry on site, toaster oven, and a small stove were also very helpful. There is also a BBQ grill out back that we used to grill some salmon we caught on one of our days out fishing. What a great experience to be able to go "home" after a busy day sight seeing and relax either in the cottage or a be a few minutes away from the sandy beaches of Cadboro Bay. Thanks to Kathleen and John for a little piece of heaven and such great hospitality."

"If there ever were a perfect house in a perfect location, it is this one. We had the privilege of staying in this beautiful retreat for three nights (wish it were much much longer)! Our family of four traveled to this magical place with my parents. It slept six of us very comfortably with a whole bedroom to spare. After making your way down the steep driveway (take it very slow), the house is entered into on the floor of the three bedrooms. From there you can decide to walk upstairs to the upper room with a tv, a couch, a desk and chair, two beds (a single bed and a double bed) and a door to the lovely upper deck. This area of the house is very high up with beautiful panoramic views of the sea below. It is positively stunning. My children slept up there because this hideaway room had a tree house like feel, and they enjoyed it very much. On the entry level are three bedrooms- a light green master with a comfy queen bed, walk in closet, amazing views and attached bathroom with an old fashioned soaker tub, a lilac room with a queen and stunning views, and a smaller yellow room with two oversized single beds (perfect for kids). The lilac and yellow bedrooms share a nice full hallway bathroom. The downstairs (and the most amazing part of the house) is absolutely stunning. There is a bathroom, dining area and living room area to the left of the stairs, and to the right is the fabulous kitchen and the most amazing family room sitting area with huge windows and absolutely beautiful views of the surrounding trees and sea below. This area is by far the best part of the house, and our jaws dropped when we first saw it. Absolutely magical! From the amazing indoor sitting area, you can go outside to a very nice deck under the trees with several chairs and a table. And from there you can walk down a lovely pathway of stairs to the sea below. There are a lot of stairs but a few places along the way you can stop and sit. If you keep walking, you eventually make your way down to the calm ocean below. My children LOVED the outside and were down by the ocean most of the time scoping out small and large crabs, fish and purple, orange and brown sea stars. This is a very tall Victorian style home literally built into a cliff. One could easily spend a week/two just relaxing at this fantastic place. I pride myself on finding it as it was an absolute gold mine as far as what the house offers for the price. If you go to Victoria, do NOT miss staying at this fabulous house!"
