  • This is one lovely place to stay. Friendly and separate. Own ground floor entrance which I loved.

"Very tastefully decorated. Lovely design and carpentry work . Wonderful shower. So, so central to downtown and terrific coastal drives and walks . Right there for bike ride trails , forest trails and a motorcycle/scooter rental . We had a downpour of snow and loved the city stores and museums . What a delightful vacation, great food everywhere if you don't want to use the first class cooking facilities . Can't say enough about this Lil home away from home. We're going back again soon👏👏👏👍😀"

  • Great location, wonderful home, highly recommended

"Our family ( consisting of ourselves, adult daughter and son-in-law, and my sister-in-law) spent 4 nights in this lovely rancher with basement close to Clover Point and the beach. The owner was wonderfully accommodating, answering any questions promptly and courteously. The house itself was inviting ( lights on when we arrived in the dark), as well as two bottles of wine and a tin of cookies on the table. Yum! I had brought what felt like everything but the kitchen sink with us, expecting few, if any, extras such as shampoo, conditioner, hand cream and a normally bare kitchen ( ie no ziploc bags, Saran Wrap, foil, tea, coffee, sugar, spices etc...etc.) Was I pleasantly surprised! There was nothing we did not find or could want for. My family got tired of my praises. The 2 bedrooms ( two king beds) were perfect for the adult couples and downstairs was equally as comfortable for my sister-in-law. Bedsides....she had her own bathroom! We were minutes by car from downtown and the area that the p VRBO is located in (Fairfield) has it's own shopping area. In the summer, you are not far away from the wonderful Moss St market that our daughter (who lives in Victoria) frequents on a regular basis. Close to the beach area makes for great walks including down and around Clover Point. We enjoyed a tour of the Parliament Buildings, Craigdarrock Castle and a drive out to and walk around Fort Rodd Hill. Families such as ours ( all adults) or those with children, couples or friends retreat .....you couldn't go wrong. Thanks so much for sharing your home away from home with us. One caveat to Canadian tourists: VRBO niow displays in US currency."

  • Stunning and peaceful

"The property is outstanding. Sits at the bottom of a hill overlooking a bay where you can watch seals swimming almost every day. Sunrises and sunsets are special times as the sun casts colour on the normally still water. Spent some great moments down on the dock enjoying the views. The property also has pear and apple trees - and the owner is happy to let you indulge. The apartment is quite nice. It is a fully contained unit and has everything you need. Has a bay window overlooking the water. Just a great place to stay. The location is convenient. About 15 minutes from downtown Victoria on the west side. Close to trails and parks. And the owner is fantastic. Cheerful and friendly! Easy to deal with. Made me feel abundantly welcome. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place."

  • Perfect Cottage

"The location of this cottage is close to everything, 15 - 20 minute walk downtown, 5 minutes to the beach. The cottage had everything you would need for your stay. We were there for 10 nights and cooked dinner in, nothing really missing in the kitchen. Lots of little spots to eat out as well. James Bay Inn was a nice pub for dinner and drinks. The bed was comfortable, the couch was fine in the living room and the bathroom with the washer and dryer was great. Daniela was awesome with questions and her response time. We look forward to staying at the South Turner cottage again."
