  • Pristine condo, excellent location, and impeccable service

"I cannot say enough good things about our experience. From start to finish, we were over the moon impressed with every aspect of our stay. Once you book the condo, you will receive numerous emails about the property, the area, recommendations, and check-in processes. That's a really nice touch because having booked so many places over VRBO/HomeAway, I'm sometimes nervous when I don't immediately hear from the booking service. Arrival information is clear and you're given numerous contacts to insure a smooth check-in. Lawrence was amazing and took the time to get us familiar with the area, recommended restaurants, and great attractions. The condo itself is sparkly clean (I'm almost a germophobe, so this is always a big deal for me). The layout is fantastic, giving everyone lots of space. As a corner unit, the windows are tall and the light is fantastic. Having stayed in so many vacation homes before, I was shocked at how well-stocked this home was. The kitchen is better equipped than my kitchen at home! The parking garage is safe and large. The condo is more beautiful than the pictures can show. As for location, it cannot be beat. Restaurants galore at your doorstep; literally, since there is a delicious restaurant at the base of the building. All of the restaurants, stores, coffee shops, ice cream places, Chinatown, the Harbor, farmers markets -- everything is walking distance. We always look for walking proximity to amenities and this condo more than fits the bill. I do not hesitate to recommend this property and this team! I only wish this team ran the booking for every property I want to book. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

  • Our favorite vacation site!

"We have stayed at this cottage every summer for the past 5 years and plan to continue every year! It is peaceful and beautiful, with incredible views (including from the hot tub!), privacy, and easy access to everything on Pender as well as swimming or boating outings. Bill and Diane are wonderful, often providing surprises like a bouquet of roses for our anniversary, homemade jam and pie from their garden fruits, as well as perfect suggestions for new hikes or other things to explore on the island. We always come home rested and relaxed, and looking forward to our next visit."

  • A marvelous place to stay!

"My husband and I stayed in this delightful downstairs apartment for five days this summer and would gladly have stayed longer, Cool, comfortable, quiet, spacious with splendid views, we truly felt that we were coming home each evening when we returned from the day's adventure. Jane is delightful and very helpful. She provided us with valuable information and suggestions. For instance, she sent us to Enterprise to rent a car because they deliver it to your doorstep, and she helped us figure the best way to get to Butchart Gardens.. She also directed us to the bus stop into downtown Victoria is also very close by and and easy to use. All in all, a perfect getaway place, green and lovely."

  • A Gorgeous Rainy Escape

"My wife and I chose to honeymoon in Vancouver & Bowen specifically for the rain. We're from Southern California where the rain has been elusive for years. We spent four nights here in the hideaway and just did not want to leave. The view was spectacular. The cabin was warm and cozy. The VHS collection was great (especially if you're a Jane Austen fan). We especially enjoyed playing the Trivial Pursuit that was published 2 years after we were born. (That was a looong game!) We hiked to town daily (45 min. one-way) and took the shuttle back at night. For those who want to fly in and not take a car to visit the hideaway, it's totally doable if you're even partially familiar with transit. From YVR, buy an all-day transit pass (~$9.50CDN) and take the blue line to City Centre. Exit the underground station and make your way to street level. From there, walk to the bus stop at West Georgia & Seymour. The sign should show service on the 257 and 257 express to Horseshoe Bay. The 257 takes a beautiful route through West Vancouver but the express takes the highway and only takes half the time. The route terminates at the ferry. Take the ferry to Bowen Island (you pay for your trip over, but not back). Once docked, you walk off the ferry and follow the rest of the crowd. You'll come across a library and in front of that library is a bench and a bus stop for the Bowen Island shuttle. Use that all-day transit pass you purchased to jump on the C11 shuttle toward Eaglecliff and let the driver know that you need to get to Cleator Road. Once at Cleator, walk down the steep switchback (a hike on its own!) to get to the Hideaway."
