  • Clean and close to the runs and tube town!

"Christina was great in responding to our inquiries. Clean and well stocked kitchen was appreciated by our family of 8. Lots of dishes and cooking supplies. We had room to seat 12 people easily for meals when another family ate with us. Only 20 feet to ski-in/out access. Really close to Tube Town as well. Everything was clean and well maintained. The garage had lots of room to suit up every day for skiing and stop in for lunch. It sure was nice to load and unload inside a garage for two vehicles. It was our third year at SilverStar and we all want to come back to Christine's townhome again next year."

  • Large, beautiful home on the Ridge

"This is a great 3 level condo that is, as mentioned by other reviewers, well appointed and in great shape. It is a perfect rental for a mature family, as the adult kids can have their own floors with their own kids in another room. There was a slight mix-up with the number of beds in one of the room's but the owner quickly corrected. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. But for this review, I wanted to provide some more notes/info for potential renters to clear up access... - It is easy to ski in and ski out. To ski out, you can ski from the back of the house down a short, but steep slope (see pic on main listing which shows back of house). This connects to the Attridge Run Out. Or if this is too steep, you can walk three houses down to an earlier portion of the Attridge Run Out accessible from the road. A competent green skier should be able to handle this. - Once skiing out, you can take the Alpine Meadows chair to ski to the main village or down to the Silver Queen chair to take a run out to the village. If you need tickets, they sell them at the Silver Queen chair where people also buy tubing tickets and/or skating. Or you can buy them at the base of the Summit chair (you may want to verify if this ticketing spot is open daily). Lifties have been known to let you take the chair to get to where you need tickets. - At the end of the day, it is easy to get back. Green level skiers can just take Criss Cross from the Alpine Meadows Chair or Summit Chair and merge to the Attridge Run Out and get off the run out at the overpass (where I mentioned a green-level skier can get onto the run out), or Blue level skiers can take Split Decision to the run out, or take Lonestar and at the very end of the run, before the underpass/road, you duck through the trees which will bring you right across the street from the place (my preferred method once discovered). The owner will tell you all about these. - Walking from the village would be possible, but it would be pretty long. Likely 20 mins. You would walk out of the village and walk up Spencer Lane where there are steps up to the Attridge Run Out. This would be the most direct route if walking home late from the bar (though not likely sanctioned by Silver Star as they don't like people walking on runs). Google maps says this walk would be approx 1.4 km."

  • Family holiday

"We very much enjoyed the spacious, very clean and well appointed unit. The location was perfect for our family with easy access to skiing and the village, but just far enough away to get some quiet. A beautiful view of the Monashees out the front window greeted us each morning. There is lots of space for skis, ski gear and drying of clothing. We had -20C and were very warm in this unit. The hot tub was clean and very well maintained, and provided a great soak for sore muscles! We had a great stay!"
