  • Absolutely amazing vacation!

"I took my time before writing this review. I can't speak highly enough about this lakefront gem! The cabin, property, lakefront, and wharf are all in outstanding condition. The pride of ownership is very apparent all over this beautiful beachfront home. The owners obviously love their lake house, and have taken excellent care of it. They were friendly, and very easy to deal with. We were lucky to be able to spend 2 amazing weeks here in August of 2016. We are a family of 4 with 2 young kids, and an extra adult. The cabin had plenty of space, and we had a great time. The house is very clean, and well appointed. The cabin is well stocked with supplies. All you need is your luggage, lake stuff, and groceries! The parking situation is great, and there was lots of room for our vehicles. There was also a spot for our boat trailer. There is a large fenced yard that provided a safe place for our kids to play. The lakefront deck is beautiful and in excellent condition. The deck furniture is newer and clean and comfortable. The deck also has a large Weber grill that we cooked most of our meals on. There is a great little spot over looking the lake with a wood stove that we spent most of our evenings sitting around enjoying the spectacular star show! There are 2 newly built seawalls, as well as new stairs down to the beach. The wharf is new and great for kids (no slivers)! There is a diving board and a ladder that made it easy for the kids to jump and swim all day. The beach is beautiful, and provided a shallow safe place for our boys to have fun and play at as well. We brought along our 23 ft. boat and kept it on the mooring buoy. The buoy is very secure, and kept our boat safe even during a pretty strong wind storm one night. The location of the cabin is something else that makes this place truly special. It is located very close to the most northern boat launch on the lake. The northern half of the lake is definitely the nicest, and least crowded part of the lake. We spent every day on the water enjoying the lake, and loved being away from the more crowded south end. The cabin is also fairly close to the marina which made refueling quick and easy. Everything is just perfect at this beautiful place, and we had a very hard time leaving to head home! We can't wait to return next summer, and are already counting down the days... Thanks for everything Kevin! Roy and Clarissa"

  • great week away in a great little place

"We stayed for a week, 2 adults, 2 young teens and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 3 bedrooms was perfect for our family and provided lots of space for us. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. The front yard was a great space for the kids, and the fire pit and firewood (provided) was a huge bonus. We enjoyed a quiet fire nearly every night after a walk to the ice cream shop. The house was also very close to the public beach. Will stay here again!"

  • Peaceful Lakeside Retreat

"Our two families had a lovely, relaxing week at Kingfisher Cove. The cabin is very spacious, clean, well equipped & the beds were very comfy! Being right on the lake was a real treat. We enjoyed how quiet the lake was; it made paddle-boarding and swimming a pleasure. Sitting outside in the warm, evening sun watching the fish jump in the lake added to the relaxing experience. Thank you for sharing your special lake home with us! Communication with the owners was excellent and always helpful! We would definitely recommend this vacation home to our friends."

  • WOW, fantastic vacation home!

"I was with seven ladies that enjoyed this remarkable home on Christina Lake. Communications with Tim before our rental date were easy and direct. The home was more than we expected, clean and well-maintained - a few light bulbs missing. The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessities and then some. Casserole dishes, pots and pans, serving bowls, utensils, wine/cocktail glasses and a nice selection of basic spices. Bring your condiments, coffee, oils etc. We throughly enjoyed the deck areas which had several tables and comfy seats. We used the lounge chairs on the dock to enjoy the afternoon sun. The weather was above normal for mid September. The beds were super comfortable and the bedding was above standard. The views from every room are to die for. We received a warm welcome from Trudy who was very helpful making suggestions for our hiking and golf events. Some of us went to a great par 3 golf course while 3 of the "golfers" golfed the 18 hole course next door. All in all we had a tremendous time at TwinFirs. P.S. We ate at the little Italian restaurant (Il Lago) at the corner of West Lake Dr. and the the Hwy. The homemade meatballs are superb and we enjoyed a great prawn fettuccini. Very homey cafe style.
