  • A pleasant stay

"We’re new to this area and enjoyed our stay at this property—what we didn’t like was pretty well balanced by what we did. The negatives: • We were given poor directions (e.g. the first turn off the highway took us completely in the wrong direction). I imagine this typo has been corrected by now. • The two short flights of stairs down to unit were a little difficult to negotiate for someone with bad knees (the first set was particularly challenging and neither have handrails). • The deck could really use some comfortable chairs for lounging and reading. • No Kleenex was to be found. • There was only one towel bar in the bath room (not finding enough hooks or bars in the bathroom is a recurring issue for me) • We couldn't find cases for the extra pillows. • We were asked to strip the bed and take out the garbage (a practice I find annoying when paying a cleaning fee). • Sweet, but very noisy camp neighbours during the day (water slide, lawn games) The positives • The hosts were hospitable. • The unit was a good size for two, well furnished and (mostly) clean (e.g. the inside of the drawers and some surfaces weren’t thoroughly cleaned). • The kitchen was very well supplied (dishes, cutlery, etc.). • We really liked the well-lit, walk-in closet with dresser. • The bed was comfortable. • It was nice to have access to spices for cooking. • We liked the peek-a-boo views of lake and hills. • It’s close to some really great wineries (but local roads are a challenge for pedestrians). We plan to come back to this area in the future, but wlll look into other accommodation—closer to the water, with better views and more comfortable outdoor amenities."

  • Fabulous Break!

"Spent 3 nights at this lovely quiet hide-away. Great place to come back to and relax after a busy day checking out the many different activities in the Okanagan area. Very clean suite with everything you could think of for preparing your own meals (including a BBQ on an awesome patio). Food supplied for breakfasts was plentiful and fresh. Len was an awesome host - helpful but leaving you to your privacy too. There's a beach close by as well as several wineries. Went to movie at the Starlight Drive-In Theatre at Enderby. The Station BBQ Smokehouse in Vernon has awesome food - best ribs we've ever had. We would definitely come again but stay longer. Maybe take up golfing as there is a beautiful golf course close by as well."

  • Beautiful home and gorgeous views.

"We enjoyed our annual girl's reunion, the home is lovely and setting beyond words. We plan on returning again for our get together the first weekend in June of 2017, it totally works for us. Hopefully we will have a warmer weekend so we can enjoy the great outdoors. It was grand."

  • Back for a third time

"Our family spend a week in August at this property. This was the third time we have been to "Charly's house." The grandkids are already looking forward to next year. The property is always immaculate, it's located in a quiet area, there are tons of toys for the kids and the rocky beach is so close. This year we did a couple of "new to us" hikes in the area with gorgeous views of the lakes and valley. We find the location convenient for access to either Kelowna or Vernon. This is a great location for a family vacation, especially if you prefer to be away from the crowds."
