  • Beautiful hacienda type place in the hills outside Oliver

"This was a fabulous place to stay. Linda and Bruce, hosts, have put so much effort into ensuring that their guests have every comfort. The sunsets from the deck are spectacular. The place is quiet and serene yet just a ten minute car ride to the best wineries and eateries in the Okanagan. Plenty of opportunity for good biking and hiking. Highly recommend."

  • Great calm getaway

"My friend from Toronto and I rented this lovely guest house for 4 nights. I always use VRBO for my vacations and have never been disappointed and this place continues that trend. The pictures were exactly how we found the accommodations. The view is amazing, the bed was super comfy and the kitchen well equipped. Rilla and Rob provided treats for our arrival, wine, cheese, crackers and the making of next morning breakfast!!! Much appreciated. The washroom came complete with toiletries, a nice touch. Many vineyards are within easy reach as well as Oosoyos and Kelowna. I was able to bring my 2 little dogs which makes vacationing so much easier. We had a deer beside our car on our last morning, awesome, thanks again, e"

  • Fantastic rental

"I can't say enough good things about Joan and Phil's OK falls rental. Upon arriving we were pleased to find a very spacious, clean and well equipped unit that my husband, 5 month old, and I felt instantly comfortable in. The king size bed was heaven and we were surrounded by Ok's beautiful biking, hiking, rock climbing and a beach literally out the back door. The IGA grocery store across the street was great to have with a 5 month old as we could walk across with him and grab stuff. The units have an elevator which also was wonderful when dealing with a stroller among other things. I couldn't ask for more in a rental and definitely plan to return!"

  • Perfect summer get-away

"We stayed at the Black Sage Beach House for four days in early September, paying $600 per night. We were a group of three families with six adults and five “children” ranging in age from 16 to 20. We had a wonderful time at the house, enjoying the lake by canoe, kayak (2) and paddleboard. We also took advantage of the hot tub, back yard area (great for games like bocce), propane fire pit, and the small sandy beach. The house is perfectly situated for easy access to wine-tasting tours (which we did), lake activities (which we did) and hiking (which we also did), as well as numerous other activities that we didn’t get a chance to experience this time. We had no problems with the property, instructions or payment (damage deposit was refunded promptly). The house is fully stocked with anything you would need, including what seemed like many dozens of beach and bath towels, every cooking implement you could need, a barbecue and a secondary fridge. The clothes washing facilities were brand-new, high capacity, which made it easy for us not to worry about keeping track of whose towel was whose. While the house came exactly as advertised, there were a few elements that were a little different than we had pictured: • The main part of the house (3 bedrooms, sleeping 8) is a beautifully, recently-renovated one-storey, manufactured home of 1232 square feet. While not small, it is certainly not large for a three bedroom house sleeping 8. • The “bunkhouse” appears to be a converted one-car garage. You cannot get to the main house without going outside (e.g., at night to use the bathroom). While this wasn’t an issue for the kids who were sleeping there in the summer, in the winter it would pose more of an inconvenience for a quick trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It was a wonderful weekend away and a perfect location for a family get together for our 3 generations. We wouldn’t hesitate to book the Black Sage Beach House again and we look forward to coming back next year. It is probably the best stocked (cooking implements, towels, condiments, boats) home we’ve ever rented."
