  • Fantastic rental

"I can't say enough good things about Joan and Phil's OK falls rental. Upon arriving we were pleased to find a very spacious, clean and well equipped unit that my husband, 5 month old, and I felt instantly comfortable in. The king size bed was heaven and we were surrounded by Ok's beautiful biking, hiking, rock climbing and a beach literally out the back door. The IGA grocery store across the street was great to have with a 5 month old as we could walk across with him and grab stuff. The units have an elevator which also was wonderful when dealing with a stroller among other things. I couldn't ask for more in a rental and definitely plan to return!"

  • A wonderful home away from home.

"What a wonderful surprise, this house has it all! Our family group comprised seven adults and one four month old baby, due to the house's spaciousness and tiered design our individual family groups could have privacy and still have shared spaces to come together to enjoy extended family times. The balconies look over Lake Okanagan giving spectacular views, they hosted some very interesting conversations over a beverage or two as well as offering a sanctuary for a new mum and dad and still be able to hear baby while she slept. The view is also spied from the dining room which is large enough to cater for larger groups. The kitchen was a cooks dream, It is well appointed, we found everything we needed to make some scrumptious meals. Brian and Kathy's preparation of the house means it's a great vacation rental, we found it fully stocked with anything and everything we could imagine we needed and more. Coming to a holiday rental that was so well stocked with everyday needs right down to kitchen towelling, hand soap and laundry washing liquids, for us Aussies (3 of the adults of the group) was a huge surprise, we would normally need to supply our own at home. Upon entering the garage we found a treasure trove of goodies, everything one could wish for to make your lake visit complete, beach toys, umbrellas, water toys, water guns, chairs you name it, it was in there, right down to well maintained bicycles to take a tour of the local area (make sure you are fit, those hills are amazing). The surrounding area is host to various orchards where you can purchase fruit directly from the growers and wineries, coffee shop and how can we forget the lake? Vernon and Kelowna are a short drive away and is home to quaint shops and some of the best London fog's I have tasted. The Hot tub, Fire Pit and outdoor area was spectacular there is no words that can adequately discribe it, surrounded by trees yet seeing the lake gave you amazing views no matter where you sat on the lower level of the outside decks. Again everything you could wish for was there, chair pads, fire wood netted gazebo and outdoor dining furniture. This property has it all, I hope if I ever get the chance to visit Canada again that we have the opportunity to visit the area again, we have the chance to relax in this beautiful home."

  • Excellent First VRBO Experience!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the penthouse suite (on the 20th floor) during a recent short family getaway to Kelowna. The spacious three-bedroom unit comfortably accommodated 9 of us (6 adults and 3 children) -- every bedroom has its own bathroom, which is a great bonus, especially when travelling with a large group. The view of the lake from the main balcony is the epitome of Kelowna's beauty -- we certainly enjoyed a couple nights on the balcony sipping on wine from local wineries while admiring the breathtaking view. We did make good use of both the indoor and outdoor pools during our short stay. As the Sunset Waterfront is in downtown, it is only a short drive to the internationally-known Mission Hill Family Estate and other family wineries along the wine trail as well as cherry orchards on Teasdale Road. Restaurants, beach, playground and water park are within walking distance of the Sunset Waterfront. Both the kids and adults enjoyed the evening strolls along the beach. Even though our visit to Kelowna was brief, we soaked in the simple life of what Kelowna has to offer as we don't do this often at home due to our hectic lives. Since we are discerning travellers, we have typically booked all of our travel accommodations with reputable hotel chains and resorts. We had always been skeptical with booking accommodations through VRBO, Airbnb and the like due to scandals reported by the media or experienced by folks not doing the proper research (i.e. travellers showing up to a ramshackle place or the home owner did not exist). This was our first VRBO experience and we must admit that with some skepticism in the beginning, the ending turned out to be quite pleasant and amicable between us and Mike, the owner. Mike greeted us at the unit, showed us around the unit and toured the building with us. He even made sure that we had all means necessary to contact him during our stay should any issue come up -- we certainly appreciated his cordial approach. We would definitely come back and recommend this place to our friends and family. Cathy"

  • home away form home!!!

"Our stay at Shirley's condo in Kelowna was outstanding. Everything was prepared well and made easy for our stay. Instruction on how to get into the unit and find parking were sent ahead of our arrival. Shirley made sure that you have her phone numbers in case anything goes wrong. Violetta was helpful as well and very nice. Fully equipped kitchen, the beds were very comfy, a big balcony with sofas and a barbecue. Can't say enough about this location, walking distance to Downtown Marina Kelowna with Cactus Club and Yacht Club on the shore, beach, playground and great restaurants, stores, liquor store, coffee shops nearby. More than enough space for the 4 of us. Beautiful place to say, great amenities, awesome, clean heated pool & two hot tubs, well equipped gym, quiet and cozy place with an amazing view. This couldn't have been a better location! If you want a great no-hassle place to stay in Kelowna, don't pass this place up - STAY HERE! Overall a great experience and we would definitely stay here again.
