  • Great location, facilities

"We had a really nice experience at NorthStar. The location is so close to the Village Stroll, as well as the grocery store and amenities. The communal pool and hot tub were excellent, much bigger than others we saw. Other guests there also commented that NorthStar was their favorite among other options, especially with kids. The condo is nicely equipped and was comfortable for myself, my folks, and my 2 kids. Our April visit allowed us to ski one day and mountainbike the next! The kids Loved it. We enjoyed the fireplace and comfortable chill time too. We had one small glitch along the way but found the owners to be very responsive and communicative. Instructions were clear and complete. I'm thankful to another reviewer who mentioned the garage clearance, as our roof rack soft case just squeaked in. And although parking was extremely convenient, we never used our vehicle - everything was that convenient. Our Whistler highlights were the Peak to Peak gondola, Pinocchio's Furniture mountain bike trail (YouTube it), PureBread bakery (again, Very short walk from condo), nachos at Girabaldi Lift Co after skiing, and snowball fight at the Roundhouse Lodge. We'll be back."

  • Great Family Stay in Roberts Creek

"We were looking for a vacation home rental for a family get-away weekend (six adults and two children) and we found the perfect spot at the Corner House in Roberts Creek. The house has a cottage feel, but is roomy and modern in every way. The yard and garden are lovely and we had dinner and a talent show 'al fresco' one evening. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. Thanks, Diane, for meeting us at check-in and the familiarization tour, and for the crab pot but we couldn't find any crabs. Instead we bought fresh halibut off the dock in Gibsons and had a fabulous meal. We loved the close access to the beach and the ocean, and walked the beach several times. We had a wonderful time and we'll be back. Thanks so much."

  • Fantastic Family Vacation at Glacier Lodge in Whistler

"The condo we rented at Glacier Lodge was perfect for our family ski trip at Whistler Village. It was comfortable, spacious, clean, with lots of amenities. We enjoyed relaxing at the condo after a long day skiing. The Hot tub was a great after a hard day skiing. The lodge was walking distance to the Village for restaurants and shopping. Parking was handy although we only needed our car once for groceries. Having the skis kept at the rental place right beside the lodge was handy. They were a little disorganized and we had to find our skis most days but staff was friendly and helpful. The kitchen was perfect for making breakfasts before our day in the slopes. The view was not of the mountain but we were on the mountain all day so the condo was perfect for hanging out for some family time before going out in the village. The code locks were great so now keys were required and we felt safe. The owner was very helpful with all our questions and we had great feedback before and after our trip. Thanks for a great place to stay for our home away from home!"

  • At the top end of anything available on Homeaway

"We stayed with Daphne and Mike for about 2 months after moving to the Vancouver area to search for a new home. They are one of the friendliest, and best organized owners we've ever encountered, and we've lived in many long-term and short-term rentals around the world. In the past, we've stayed in some "furnished" places that were only barely furnished. This unit, on the other hand, was one of the best equipped places we've seen. We were even treated to a fridge and cupboard stocked with some groceries to get us started -- an amazingly thoughtful touch that was very welcome after our long journey. Be aware that it is a lower level unit, but it is only partially inset, and has large windows that let in a lot of light. They also have soundproof ceiling tiles which made noise from upstairs virtually non-existent. The finishings are all new and modern, and the entire unit was exceptionally clean. The layout is very comfortable and efficient. The neighbourhood is friendly and beautiful, and there are two large parks with great walking trail systems nearby. Highly recommended. Definitely at the top end of anything available on Homeaway, and better than most hotels!"
