  • Great hosts, great for large groups! RECOMMENDED!

"Harold and Fei were amazing hosts. I bought a youth leadership group to the HH, we did our own cooking, and rented the entire house and cabins. They were very accommodating we did have a larger size group we had many questions about sleeping situation, what's included in the kitchen, how many washrooms... Etc - Fei is very welcoming and very responsive to replying all the questions. Throughout our stay they would check in with us to see how things are, Harold knew we were going to do a scavenger hunt, he ploughed the fields so we could go thru the fields to enjoy the amazing scenery. We were hoping to go pick blueberries for an activity.... We came just as the season ended, he allowed our team to pick the blackberries on his property. The house is very spacious, kitchen area can be very warm especially when cooking,as well as the cabins but with a large group this space was awesome. We did have a few plumbing issues (just the chain came loose), but just find Harold and he's for sure one awesome handyman! Looking to start an amazing bon fire? - Harold will help with your set up, and even provide the wood! Highly recommended you bring paper plates cause those can just burned in the foyer too, so less waste The room on the top floor might look awkward in the photos, don't be scared it's a pretty awesome honeymoon suite. Just ask Fei and she will help cover it up. Overall, I would recommend the Hammond House and their hosts! (Our Group of 26 had a great time)"

  • Quaint and clean

"I travel to Chilliwack often for work. My length of stay can range from a week to four months. I really prefer furnished rentals over hotels; I like having a kitchen so I don't have to eat out everyday. I've stayed in Cultus Lake rentals, the Premiere Executive Suites on Yale, the Coast hotel, and the Vedder River Inn. Comparing the different locations, I would say this rental was by far the best value for my money. The suite is spacious and bright, lots of windows! The house was well stocked for my stay (dishwasher tablets, dish soap, laundry detergent, band aids, shampoo, etc); unlike other/past rentals. The furnishings are old, but they are comfortable and clean. Rene, the owner, is very friendly. It snowed while I was in town and he shoveled out my front steps and driveway! I work on the opposite side of town, near the Vedder river. It only took me 15 minutes to get to work each day, so the location was convenient. There are lots of amenities nearby: grocery stores, a lovely bakery, restaurants, etc. I will be keeping this suite in mind for future trips to Chilliwack!"

  • Eagle Tree Exceeds Expectations on Every Level!

"I was so happy to have found the Eagle Tree Lodge and the HERON SUITE! Which is by far the nicest Vacation Rental suite I have ever stayed in. This Suite is on par with a 5 star Whistler Hotel and VERY clean! As a woman travelling alone I wasn't sure what to expect with my nighttime arrival, but Trish met me at the door, walked me to the suite and made sure I was comfortable and well situated before leaving. The suite is every bit as cozy as the photographs and the huge soaker tub made for a relaxing evening after a long drive. The king size bed was a little soft for my liking, but not everyone enjoys a firm mattress.... I would recommend the Eagle Tree Lodge to anyone looking for a great place to stay and only a few minutes from the Hwy #1."

  • Wonderful

"This cabin isn't right on the lake (beach access takes a drive away from the property), but you don't miss the cold smelly lake water when you're staying at this luxury resort anyway. The pool is more than big, warm and clean enough to satisfy anyone looking for a summer vacation. The cabin itself is very clean, with three sleeping areas (Master, open loft and second bedroom) that comfortably sleep six. The kitchen, like all living spaces, was clean, cared for and offered all of the amenities we needed. Would highly recommend this cabin."
