  • A beautiful retreat with easy access to all that Vancouver has to offer.

"A beautiful gem of a B&B by a river. A short and easy drive to access Vancouver's tourist highlights, yet a peaceful escape from the city hustle and bustle. Also affords walking trails beside the river. We had no problem finding it and there was no problem parking right at the B&B. Michael, our host was very knowledgeable and gave us great suggestions on where to go, what to see and how to get there. Breakfast was delicious, the bed comfortable and the place was spotless. I am sitting out on the balcony overlooking the river as I write this review. If and when we are able to return to Vancouver, I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. This place and it's host are exceptional. Thank you."

  • Quiet and away from the busyness

"We stayed in the cozy basement suit in Deep Cove for 2 nights. Our suit was very well suited for us. It was clean and private. Because it was a basement suite you could hear noise from upstairs (of course to be expected). But for the low price and great location, for us, it was worth it. We enjoyed snowshoeing up Mt Seymour only a short drive away and also skiing on Grouse Mountain. There was ample parking on the street and a nice walk away from the ocean. The fridge was having some issues, it wasn't working when we arrived, but Cherish and her husband sorted it out quickly for us. It did start working again but quit before we had to leave again. Otherwise everything was very nice."

  • January Retreat

"I booked the Float Home for a personal retreat in January. It was a perfect place to get away and relax. I especially appreciated the nearby shopping and the boat bus over to downtown Vancouver. Everything worked well, and I would recommend this place highly!"

  • Beautiful home + gorgeous location = wonderful family reunion

"Three generations of my family, ages 7-79, spent a terrific week here. The house had plenty of room for all of us, and the main level was great for watching the NBA finals, playing games, cooking, and eating together (two tables were combined to seat all 11). We spent a lot of time on the deck and the dock, and the view was beautiful at every time of day. The kids, ages 7-15, loved going to the dock and learning how to trap crabs (with a lot of help from Chris). I think it's important for people considering the property to know that all of the driveways in Deep Cove are steeply inclined, and the driveway is the only way to access the house. My parents are active in their 70s, but the weather was wet the week of our visit and I was worried about them slipping on the steep driveway. We were careful, however, and there were no mishaps at all. The walk to "downtown" Deep Cove is easy and flat, and the town and parks are fun to explore. Access to Vancouver and a trip north along the coast was easy, too. We had great support from the owner before and during our stay. It could not have been a more beautiful, relaxing place for our family to get together! We loved it and truly didn't want to leave."
