  • Beautiful

"Beautiful tranquil place perfect for families. We stayed with another family and our children. Great place to catch up and relax. Owners are very helpful without having too many instructions."

  • Very Happy

"We just spent 4 days in this home and we were very happy. Mike was excellent to work with. He gets back to you quickly and was patient with me when work distracted me from getting him some paperwork. It was one of the most enjoyable holidays we've had in a long time. Things to know. -The home isn't overly large but has 3 distinct bedrooms as well as a big loft. 2 of the bedrooms are smallish but quite functional. The 3rd bedroom is quite large. It is an open loft on top of some steep stairs. There is also a loft at the top of a removable ladder that is perfect for kids old enough to climb a 10 foot ladder. Our youngest was 8 and it took her a couple minutes to get over her fear. I think the kids liked the idea of having their own private room where adults were not likely to visit. -The kitchen is big and wide open. It had everything that we needed. -The outside area is really large and the kids fished off the dock for hours. You can see the fish come right up to your hook. (Not a good location for crabs and we had no luck off the dock.) -There is no garbage service and you need to take garbage with you. Mike has some suggestions on where to take it. -There are a few smaller stores but you will want to bring groceries from home or on your way through Sechelt. -It is a great location to hike to the Skookumchuk Narrows. My wife and I ran to Skookumchuk Narrows directly from the house. It was almost exactly 1 hour round trip and we are In mediocre shape. You can consider driving to the trail head as opposed to starting right at the house. -If you can arrange a trip to Princess Louisa Inlet it is well worth it. -There is no cell coverage and the wifi coverage is inconsistent. It seemed like the wifi worked ok when only 1 device was connected and it was a time of day when neighbours might not be using the same bandwidth. You will be happiest if you just put away the devices although I know it's easier said then done. They have a home phone and it works well. Just remember you won't be able to call anyone from your party in the Egmont area on their cell phone even if you use the home phone. I would highly recommend this place to anyone unless you absolutely need to be connected to the Internet for work."

  • Family fun in the garden!

"We loved our family holiday at Harrison Chalet this past weekend. The accommodation worked well for 6 adults and 4 children. Ian was very accommodating and allowed us to arrive a little early to put groceries in the fridge. The best parts of the weekend were the family meals that we served in the back garden on the picnic table that is positioned beneath a soaring rock face. So majestic and beautiful. The kids also had lots of space to run and dance and play volleyball and badminton. It is a good idea to bring along some sports equipment as the grassy areas are so perfect for family play. Not many mosquitos at all!! This was a most wonderful family time and celebration of a birthday!"

  • Absolutely incredible

"First, I have to say as other have, that this place really is seven full bedrooms. The beds are really comfortable, and all the rooms are quite spacious. We counted room for 19 people to sleep! Amazing. Also, the place is very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need (except for an ice cream scoop, we broke that... oops!). The view of the water is, of course, incredible. We had a beautiful swim and some seals came right up to us to check us out! For those travelling with kids, be aware there is a set of stairs that small kids could easily tumble down - if you have a portable baby gate, bring that. On the up side, there's a separated TV room where kids can chill away from relaxing parents. Really this place is amazing and I hope we have the opportunity to stay there again! Thank you Charisse for sharing your amazing home with us!!!"
