  • Family friendly

"A family with young children, we spent five months at the Dunbar when my wife had a sabbatical as a visiting scholar at UBC. Great house, great neighbourhood, great place to live in. After a long travel from overseas with the kids and 9hr jetlag it was great to come “home” to a full fridge and beds ready to get into. Great service from Kelly and Brian, all the way along, no matter what. The house is fully furnished so we did not have to think about anything when we arrived with only clothes in our suitcases. The patio outside of the house is quiet, perfectly maintained and child safe, even for our 2-year old who like to run and climb everywhere. Easy and quiet stroll in the neighbourhood, just around the house or to the great trees of Pacific Spirit park or down to Jericho beach to enjoy the view over English Bay and the mountains on the other side. No car needed: for 5 months and with a family, we did not miss our own car. We mainly used buses, Translink is doing a great job with the buses and the house is well connected to the bus network, and one of the car sharing program when a car was needed."

  • Vancouver stay

"We enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable, the bed was large and comfortable. Jacob was very helpful. It is a great location, with lots of shops in walking distance. There is a security alarm in place, so a bit of extra comfort. The only issue was that they were working on the facade of the house, so it was a bit of a shock when we pulled up. The interior was fine, wonderful to have parking, especially in that area. Lots of towels, kitchen was well stocked. One of the few places where we enjoyed having company in to visit, so that made our stay even more enjoyable!!"

  • A beautiful gem in the city!

"My family truly enjoyed their stay at Kim's place while visiting for my wedding. It is complete with everything you'll need. Although 3 of the rooms are equipped with twin beds, we managed to fit everyone in. The kids truly enjoyed the playroom downstairs, the playground with the tree house outside and the basketball net. Everyone had their own space for reading or quiet time as the house is nicely laid out. Kim was very accommodating and very organized. She had made arrangements with check-in and even had a nice bottle of champagne as a wedding gift for use. I'm truly happy we found this place. Thanks, Kim! We will definitely consider this place again next time we need a place to stay!"

  • Great location

"We stayed in the Spanish Banks suite for a week with our two children, ages 12 and 14. It was great for each of them to have their own bedroom space. The apartment is on the basement level of a large multi-suite home in a perfect location in Kitsilano - a two minute walk to the beach, parks, running trails, shopping and numerous food options. Hard to beat. If noise above your head bothers you, you might want to bring a noise machine of some sort - it didn't really bother us. Kitchen is large and fully functional. Large screen TV with cable, although we never used it. The outdoor patio was nice to use during our visit (an unusually warm and sunny stretch for April). Everyone we met was pleasant, and it was great having a washing machine and dryer available ($1.00 each). They provided us with recommendations for restaurants and where to find basics we might need. Shampoo/conditioner/soap, etc was provided, and they also left a lovely welcome basket with food items. I could see this apartment being a little dreary if you had a rainy week and/or unmotivated travelers, but we had neither and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our favorite sushi restaurant was Hitoe Sushi on 4th just past Blenheim - went twice we liked it so much. Also liked Thai Food by Montri on Broadway. Enjoy!"
