  • Excellent place, location and service for families

"This place was great for my family (including 3 children under the age of 8). We arrived during a rare snowfall, and our kids had the chance to build small snow forts in the front yard. After which, they spread out in the living room playing games with the fireplace going. Perfect set-up! The island in the kitchen was another great place for everybody to gather and eat/play games. Basement set-up was great if anybody needed a little quiet time. Just a really great set-up for families. Beds were comfortable, showers powerful, and everything was new. Having 2.5 baths was super helpful. Location was great. Walking around, there are a ton of good food, coffee and dessert options. Only negative was that many neighbors neglected to shovel their sidewalks, which, with additional rain and cold, turned many into ice paths. (Our path, including stairways, were always shoveled and clean, though). The #3 bus made it easy to get to downtown, Granville, Queen Elizabeth Park, Cambie, and even the airport (0 stars for Vancouver Taxi, but that's a different story), but if you're coming from the US, note that you can't pay for or refill your Compass Card online using a US Credit Card, so you have to physically go to a train stop. (Note: to get to the airport using public transit, just walk two blocks to catch the #3 bus going South at 18th/main. Go to the end and catch the Canada Line train to YVR. about 35-40 min) 5+ stars for the Management Company (Sonder). They instantly replied to all of my questions and helped with a ton: credit card payment issue (this was at 1 am!), wifi strength in the basement, extra shampoo and dryer sheets, etc. They even found me a local place to buy a sled for my kids (coming from the US, who knew that "Canadian Tire" is not a tire company)! From a service point of view, this was easily the best VRBO/Airbnb experience we've ever had. Seriously impressed."

  • very comfortable stay, perfect location

"I can strongly recommend this place. Having stayed here for two full months, it truly felt like a home. The space was well equipped; I had everything I needed, even for proper cooking. Very comfortable bed and bathroom. The Internet worked perfectly; never had a problem. I loved the seating space outside and the easy access to the Skytrain, direct busses to downtown and UBC, Oakridge Mall and Main Street shops. At the same time, the home was so quiet and relaxing. Pav and his wife were so welcoming. Ever helpful and available when I needed something, they were perfectly respectful of privacy as well and considerate in all ways. I would definitely stay again and have nothing to complain about."

  • Made our stay totally comfortable

"Our BC trip was both to celebrate our daughter's wedding and for Ontario family to see beautiful BC. Your home allowed for 10+ guests to relax, sleep comfortably and spend quality time together. We hosted a post-wedding diner and those guests loved your home. Thanks for opening your doors to us...much appreciated..."

  • My first and lasting impression is, this is a real find!

"I so appreciated the warm welcome and attentiveness to my comfort. This set the tone for a very positive experience during my last trip to Vancouver. Caroline is a friendly hostess who keeps an immaculately clean suite and is so hospitable. The house itself is modern and well appointed in a lovely neighborhood, a block away from a beautiful park. It is described as "prime location" and for my needs, it certainly lived up to that. I especially loved to browse on Main Street taking in the unique shops and fabulous selection of places to eat, from Vegan to Fine French Dining. A state-of-the-art recreation center is just a block away. I did not need to rent a car as the transit service was right at hand and able to take me to all the places on my wish list. This place is definitely on my return list and, hopefully, the next time it will be baseball season so I can take in a game at the famous Nat Stadium, a block away. Thank you, Caroline, for your kindness. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family!"
