  • Locarno Beach House is in a wonderful location one block off of English Bay. Quiet, clean, cozy.

"The kitchen is excellent, well stocked. It was lovely to have cream and coffee in the fridge and some fruit on the table. The only suggestion we have is that it would be nice to have small bedside tables for reading lamps and a place for glasses/phone/ etc. Cara was friendly, welcoming and efficient. This beach house is in an excellent location and it is quiet. Close to many attractions like the beach, beautiful treed trails, UBC. We'll definitely recommend this accomomdation to our friends, and would love to stay at Locarno Beach House again."

  • Charming well appointed home in beautiful residentail area

"Our group of 6 enjoyed your home. The home is very conveniently located to shops, restaurants and the sky-train for convenient transportation. The home is very nicely renovated and clean. We would recommend this location and would consider renting it again. Thank you Suzanne for your hospitality."

  • Good location in West Point Grey - easy to get to town and beaches by both car and bus.

"This is a small heritage property that has been tastefully updated. The bathroom is lovely (and the giant tub a treat), and the patio table set up on the back deck is shady and relaxing - great to have your own garden space (with plenty of kids activities in it) with a BBQ area - we spent most of our time here :). Jamie is delightful to deal with and genuinely goes out of her way to make sure you have a great rental experience. The only negative is if you are sensitive to noise as the basement suite is also rented, but, apart from one session with crying children below, we didn't have a real problem with this. Also, be aware that the upstairs bedrooms both have low ceilings (one very low) so not suitable for elderlies. Kids would love it however! Kitchen was extremely well equipped."

  • Great stay, great location

"My wife and I stayed at this property for 5 days with our 3 kids (9, 6 and 3 years old). House: Rooms were comfortable and exactly as pictured. It was also nice to have a small living room/kitchen area where we could relax after the kids went to sleep. The shared backyard is huge, and my kids loved playing on the trampoline, using the basketball net and playing ping pong. Location: West Point Grey is extremely beautiful, and every day we would go for walks in the area. On 10th avenue (6 blocks away) there were plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, parks, etc... We were also able to visit the beaches which were a 10-15 minute walk. We were caught-off guard when the taxi companies in Vancouver refused to pick us up (because there is a 4 passenger limit and we are 5 people). However, we bought day passes for the buses from the Safeway, and took the number 4 bus directly to a lot of the sites (downtown, Granville Island, etc...). The bus stop is right outside the front door - very convenient! Above all, Carolyn and her family were extremely friendly and outgoing. My youngest son really enjoyed playing with their puppy, and my two older kids enjoyed playing badminton and ping pong outside with some of the members of their family as well. They were great hosts! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this property to other guests with small families (4-5 people) as a great alternative to a hotel room. Thanks Carolyn!"
