  • Fabulous condo!

"The owners have done a fantastic job making this condo a fantastic place to stay. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the Sonos sound system was incredible and the whole place was clean and well organized. The location is perfect - so close to the Village and trails. Loved it! We will definitely stay here again."

  • Amazing stay at the Garden Suite

"This was our first visit to Vancouver, so we did not know what to expect at first. When we told Teri and Gary we were going to arrive late, they left the door open for us when we arrived. To our surprise, when we opened the fridge, we were greeted with everything necessary, and even more, to have an exceptional dinner, and even breakfast the next day. There was even a basket with fruits and chocolate, along with a bottle of wine, next to a folder with all the information we needed for our stay. This included where to shop, where to eat, and even pamphlets to guide us around the city. Teri and Gary were extremely thoughtful, and were ready to help us with anything at any time. The Garden Suite felt like home the moment we stepped in. Not to mention that it is in the perfect location for getting around to pretty much anywhere in the city. It is a 5 minute walk to a bus stop, and a 10 minute walk to the Sky Train, which is right next to a grocery store. It is also right next to Commercial Drive, which is a street full of great coffee shops, restaurants, and stores. It is even in a great neighborhood that is beautiful, quiet, and friendly. The Garden Suite had absolutely everything to accommodate us for out visit, and future lucky visitors to get themselves to an amazing place like this. We would strongly recommend anybody planning a trip to Vancouver, to strongly consider this Garden Suite to be your home while you are visiting."

  • Wonderful beach holiday but would also be awesome in winter! You will NOT be disappointed!

"My husband and 2 late teen/adult age children just got back from an incredible vacation at Mark and Barb's beautiful cabin in Halfmoon Bay! The pictures don't do it justice! This is a low bank waterfront property RIGHT ON the beach (its a bit rocky as most are on the Sunshine Coast - bring your watershoes) and a big front lawn DIRECTLY off the beach. They had 2 kayaks and a canoe which we could use which we definitely did - it was awesome! The beach was great for walking and collecting shells, rocks, and driftwood. We brought our own lounge chairs and spent the afternoon enjoying the sun on the front lawn but never felt too hot because of the beautiful ocean breeze. If we did, the ocean was lovely to swim in. We also built a campfire on the beach right in front of the lawn one evening which was so beautiful. The great room and kitchen of the house may have the quaint woodsy look of a cabin as seen in the pictures, but don't let the pictures deceive you, it not only has tons of windows overlooking the breathtaking view, it has all the amenities of home - a kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, tons of dishes, pots and pans, whatever you could need; a TV with lots of cable channels, a fireplace, even games provided; and a lovely deck with a BBQ and table, chairs and umbrella overlooking the amazing view. On the upper level, the look was totally modern with 3 good sized bedrooms and a full bathroom - the master had a gorgeous view of the ocean. Also there is another bathroom downstairs off the lawn if you're in a hurry! Although the temperatures were starting to climb during our stay, the house is well shaded in the morning so never got too hot (except when we baked something in the oven but the fan they provided cooled things off nicely). In the winter, each of the bedrooms has their own thermostat so I'm sure it would be just as beautiful and cozy. Although, as the owners say, they have a work building on the property that they may be at during the day, it is totally separate and well behind the house - we never saw them until we checked out. It definitely felt like we had our own place but it was nice to have them available to orient us and we knew they were available if we needed anything. Our plan was to make this our base and explore the Sunshine Coast but we were so enamored, we never left the house! So relaxing and comfortable. A truly great vacation!"

  • Comfortable and good location

"We enjoyed this for a summer retreat. Easy walk or bike ride to town. Not quite as easy to get back because you have to climb the hill, but still fine for anybody with moderate health. The house was well-appointed and clean with comfortable beds. I'd stay again. Giving it four stars because it wasn't perfect, we had really minor problems with the fridge and diswasher and the barbecue didn't seem to heat up the first night (I've had this problem before with new propane tanks for some reason). The only real problem was that somebody overlooked cleaning the hot tub and nobody wanted to use it the first night. But to the property manager's credit, they sent somebody in on a Sunday morning immediately after contacting them about it and fixed it up. I'd recommend this place to a friend."
