  • Felt like home

"I had recently moved to Vancouver, and I stayed in Devorah and Franco's suite for 5 weeks while I searched for somewhere permanent to live. The suite is very comfortable and really felt like home - it was private, I had plenty of space to spread out, I could prepare my own meals, and I particularly enjoyed taking advantage of the sunny spring weather in their beautiful garden. The location is perfect, on a lovely quiet, tree-lined street, yet close to public transit, the many interesting shops and restaurants on Commercial drive and the park at Trout Lake (don't miss the farmer's market on Saturdays!). In fact, I liked the area so much that I abandoned my plans to live further out and found a place nearby. Devorah and Franco were very friendly and welcoming, and I really appreciated their local advice on my various questions related to the move. Thanks again for everything!"

  • Fantastic Apartment

"We stayed in the apartment for a week at the beginning of February. This was our first visit to Whistler and we chose to stay in the quieter Upper Village. The Upper Village had everything we needed (bars, small shop, liquor store) and it was only a ten minute walk into Whistler Village for the wider choice or bars, restaurants and shops. Being in the apartment was just like being at home. So comfortable, warm and relaxing after a day on the slopes - it had everything we needed. The lifts are very close and it was also great that ski passes could be booked through the Lodge in advance and collected at check-in. We would definitely want to stay in the apartment again if returning to Whistler."

  • Perfect weekend away with friends

"Eight of us (4 adults, 4 young children) spent the weekend at the Tennants' house in Whistler in February and it was the perfect place to get away to. The house is beautifully rustic (and by rustic, I mean comfortable and cozy with an antique feel to the decor) and the lay-out is perfect for kids. There is a games area upstairs with a ping-pong table and table hockey. The den/TV room downstairs was perfect for the kids to have some time watching movies or colouring while the adults talked and played games. The large hot tub made it a perfectly relaxing weekend. It's close to both Whistler Village and Squamish so easy to pop out if you need anything. For the kids, the highlight was watching the occasional train go by on the tracks directly below the house. Surprisingly the noise wasn't disruptive in the least. We plan on renting the Tennants' house again next year, and we're already looking forward to it."
