  • Wonderful stay

"Ray and Catherine are very gracious hosts. We've just returned from our third week-long stay at the cottage. It was fantastic, as usual, and very rejuvenating. Our grandsons swam out to the raft several times a day, and had a wonderful time. Beach fires, making s'mores, watching fantastic sunsets and the Perseides Meteor shower, seals and otters and eagles oh my! The cottage is very clean, comfortable, and well maintained; new appliances! A few cosmetic touches needed, such as new wallpaper or paint, more ambient lighting. Other than that, perfect, and we look forward to returning next year for twice as long!"

  • Wonderful

"Our family (we have two kids), plus two grandparents, spent some time in Steve's cabin this January (2015), and had a truly wonderful time during our stay. Our kids are very young, and they had so much fun exploring the cabin. We found the place easy (directions were clear), and it was well prepared for our visit: everything was very clean and tidy. The cabin is very inviting, cozy, and quite spacious - there was plenty of room for sleep (3 bedrooms) and hang out (downstairs and upstairs). The kitchen was very well stocked, we cooked most of our meals. Linen and towels were plentiful and clean. We were lucky to be there during a heavy snowfall, we all loved watching it, and going out with kids to play. The wood stove served us well to warm up after we came back inside. One thing we didn't have time to enjoy was the sauna. The cabin is a short drive to Whistler, we went there a couple of times during our stay, for lunch and to walk around. We didn't go skiing/snowboarding, but, the cabin is a good base for winter activities in Whistler. The cabin is located close to a railroad, but, the trains go by very infrequently (twice a day or so), and they were not annoying (on the contrary, kids liked watching them go by). Our correspondence with Steve was very clear and easy (e-mail, phone). Thanks Steve, we hope to come back and visit your cabin again! Davor and family"

  • Spring ski..

"The property is in immaculate condition and so homely and comfortable after a day on the mountain. Suited us perfectly (4 adults / 2 teenagers) The walk to the ski out is short and downhill so very easy. The bus is also close and very regular. All in all the perfect holiday home. Many thanks to Holly for the ease of booking and the information provided. Lastly very many thanks to the Cherrys for the use of their wonderful home and the bottle of wine that Dave brought round personally to welcome us. We sincerely hope that we can return to Whistler very soon and would love to stay at mountain star again."
