  • Spring on the Sunshine Coast

"We just returned from a wonderful five day trip at Footprints Cottage. From the moment we arrived, Ron and Matilda made us all feel so welcome - such kind hosts! The Cottage itself has gorgeous views and was so charming - decorated with gorgeous linens, arts and crafts from South Africa - truly lovely. It is so evident that much love and pride has gone into their quaint cottage. Although we are back to work now, we will hold on to some lovely memories: morning coffee in the sunroom admiring the gorgeous ocean views; hiking to Chapman Creek falls, the Knob and Smuggler's Cove; lounging around on the front lawn, soaking in the sun; wondering down to the beach and of course, enjoying the crackling fire... We are already planning another trip next year. Thank you both for sharing your lovely cottage - we truly felt so lucky to find such a hidden treasure on the coast!"

  • Great Location - Everything as described

"We were very happy with the condo. Pictures were accurate and the description provided in the posting is exactly what we found. Very clean place with all the towels, plates, glasses, pots, pans, cutlery, etc. that you could want. Even laundry detergent was provided. The kitchen was certainly stocked much better than my kitchen at home. The condo is in an ideal location right at the entrance of Marketplace Square so shopping for groceries was easy. A 10 minute walk would get you right to the ski lifts or you can take the shuttle. As an added bonus, it's one of the closest units to the hot tub and heated pool - no coat or boots required - just 15 seconds to get there. No issues working with the owners; they were great and very responsive to emails. Also, great that the front door uses a key code rather than a key/card. That way never have to worry about losing a key or not having one when you get back. Two small comments - would be useful if the "binder" had a current version of the checkin/checkout info (had to occasionally reference back to email we received as it had more up to date info). Secondly, would be great if a copy of the shuttle schedules could be made available. Would definitely recommend this condo to others."

  • This North Vancouver (Deep Cove) house worked great for our summer family vacation!

"We stayed here for a week in July 2016. The listing description accurately described the property, location, layout, and amenities. The house is not air-conditioned; we did use fans at night. There are many windows and skylights that open and allow pleasant cross breezes that kept the house cool and comfortable. The property was clean. Parking space was sufficient. House has a beautiful view out the rear to the Deep Cove harbor. Houses on both sides are very close to the property, but during our visit one was empty and the other seemed occupied only on the weekend. Hot tub is located in the yard down below the first floor rear deck. Small village of Deep Cove consists of two blocks of retail shops, casual eateries (including coffee shops and pizza), dock and kayak rentals, businesses, and one nicer restaurant. It’s a ten-minute stroll downhill from the property, with then a moderately strenuous uphill walk back up to the property. We met the owner, Paul, who happened to greet us upon arrival (he and his wife live in a separate “manager’s apartment” beneath the two-story rental property). He was gracious and friendly, giving us some instructions regarding usage and advice regarding available activities, local shopping and dining, etc. Although we did not need him, he was easily available to us onsite and provided his cell number as well. We would recommend this property subject to the following pros and cons: PROS: scenic location and views; nice house that worked well for our family of four adults, with three separate bedrooms, large TV, internet, ping pong table, laundry facilities, and outdoor deck with a gas grill. Deep Cove is a picturesque, small village in quick walking distance, with easy access to North Vancouver towns and activities. CONS: distance from downtown Vancouver (depending on location of your desired activities); upstairs en suite bathroom sink was very small, with minimal counter space; both showers are small stalls; the condition of kitchen cabinets, appliances, and bathrooms was average, but all worked well. If you are easy going and not expecting new or fancy accommodations, this place will work well for you, as it did for our family. Local activities we enjoyed: Deep Cove village (including Arm’s Reach restaurant and the locally famous Honey’s Doughnuts); Deep Cove Kayak Rentals; Quarry Rock trail and lookout; Mt. Seymour Park trails; and visits to other North Vancouver towns, seawalls, and parks."

  • Ideal Whistler Condo

"This was our first trip to Whistler, and I feel lucky we chose this unit. The unit was clean, well maintained, well equipped, and makes a nice first impression. The location was excellent and just steps away from Whistler village. We are VRBO property owners ourselves, and we appreciated the comfort and attention to detail put into this unit. We would gladly book this unit again."
