Lovely unit, can't-beat location, and caveats

    4 of 5
The pictures are accurate - this is a lovely, modernized unit in the heart of Whistler Village. It is house-level roomy and never feels remotely cramped (amazing for an in-village accommodation), even with two families sharing it. The kitchen is big enough for two folks to work if necessary, and the living space is broad and open. Bunks swallow up any kiddos you might be bringing with you, and the other bedrooms are tidy, comfortable, and spare. Even better is the ski/mud room as you walk in - there is a full wooden space for skis/jackets/helmets/gloves and all of the other ski trappings you can think of, and then an attached room with bonus shower, sauna, boot/glove heater and more shelving. If you're an outdoor-active group, you're covered. Three things to bear in mind when booking here, two of which are just functions of location, and one of which could be modified by management 1. There is noise, and lots of it. Whistler Village is popular for a reason, and you're right on top of it (the great part of it is of course how easy it is to get to absolutely everything). For us, this meant revelers making plenty of noise outside every night - and this is in winter with windows sealed tight. It's a party town. In addition, it snowed a ton while we were there, which meant front-loaders pushing snow around from 5am on every morning. Light sleepers be warned. 2. There were FIVE different digital codes to manage here. It's great not to have to keep physical keys, but there are different codes for the outside access door (after hours), elevator, room, wifi, and garbage area. Have your smartphone handy. 3. The single parking spot that comes with the unit is in no way attached to the building. Expect to unload in temporary loading zones and then go ditch your car. Not a huge deal, but worth knowing. Overall, we'd absolutely book again. There is nothing like a luxurious unit smack in the middle of the village, even with the demerits mentioned above. Kudos to the owners for keeping such a lovely unit available for the rest of us to enjoy.
