  • Perfectly convenient!

"We recently stayed here for a long weekend. The location was great- close to the Creekside Gondola, the Creekside Market, and the ski school. The condo was well equipt with most things we needed for our stay. There was no extra toilet paper or paper towels as the cleaning crew forgot to replenish. Ashleigh quickly bought some and brought it over, along with another kitchen item we needed. The top rack of the dishwasher was broken which made it difficult to wash many things at once or close the door, however we made do. The unit was clean, although it appeared to not have been vacuumed recently as there were pine needles from the Xmas tree on the floor (tree had been moved to porch outside one of the bedrooms). The pool and hot tub were a few steps away and nicely maintained. There were only four towels in the unit so I recommend bringing extra towels for the pool if you plan to swim and then shower. Furthermore, the unit did not have laundry in it, you needed to go into the basement to use the coin operated machines. This was slightly annoying since our ski stuff was so wet and needed help drying and we needed to reuse the same towels to shower after swimming. Thank you for a nice, relaxing stay, we hope to be back again soon!"

  • Wonderful Stay!

"I absolutely LOVED my 2 month stay in the Carriage House! The property the house sits on is stunning with a rolling yard surrounded by forest and occasional deer visitors. Sitting out on the deck for your morning coffee or afternoon happy hour is simply divine! The carriage house is clean, private and has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Gibsons. I slept great every night in the pillow-top king sized bed and ate like a queen in the fully equipped kitchen. Everything you need to cook your own meals is there for you...even a selection of commonly used spices! The Carriage House is spacious and luxurious providing both style and utility. It has huge and beautiful full-log beams throughout and a stunning, tiled shower with great water pressure that looks out over the yard. The couch was comfy as ever and the Telus TV and Netflix were great for nights in when the "sunshine coast" does not quite live up to its name (I stayed through a particularly rainy March haha). I also really liked the coffee table that doubles as a massive Cribbage Board! My boyfriend and I also loved taking advantage of the board games provided with the place. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here either for a couples weekend getaway or for a long term stay. Mike is a fabulous host and is prompt to help when needed but otherwise takes a "hands-off" approach for the duration of your stay. The only thing that I would say about the property is that you probably want to have a car as it is ~2km out of town...I walked a few times and it took me about 25mins to get to downtown Gibsons. I would stay here again in a heart beat and would like to thank Mike for his hospitality and for being a tremendous host! I will definitely miss the Carriage House!"

  • Perfect Ladies Weekend Getaway

"Close enough to the village that we walked, but far enough that we felt close to nature. This was the perfect home for our weekend getaway. The hottub was perfect, beds luxiourious and dual shower heads were amazing. 100% recommend this home for your vacation. We will be returning."

  • Cozy fall weekend

"Spent two nights over Halloween weekend. Check in was quick and easy. I really liked the layout of the unit and it was very clean. It was a chilly rainy fall weekend and the wood burning fireplace and private hot tub made for a cozy, romantic stay. Pet friendly was a bonus. The trail/path system in Whistler is the best. 5-10 minute walk to the upper village. We ate in one night (and found what we needed in the kitchen) and had a fabulous dinner at Alta Bistro the second night. Great rental. We'll be back!"
